      Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and fellow citizens, If India were designing its tax system today, would we still choose Income Tax? I have attached a short presentation that explores an alternative idea that could simplify taxation and reduce compliance burden for ordinary citizens. It may be right. It may be wrong. But it might be worth discussing. I would love to hear your thoughts after reading the presentation.

It has come to our serious and alarming notice, through a Times of India report dated 21 July 2026 (annexed), that around 180 commuters have fallen from trains on the Thane–Diva stretch(Thane District) in 2026, with approximately 35% (66 commuters) losing their lives. As a regular commuter, I witness severe overcrowding, inadequate train frequency and persistent delays, forcing passengers to travel in dangerously congested conditions. This has turned the Thane–Diva corridor into a grave public-safety crisis. I therefore urge the Hon’ble Prime Minister to direct the Central and State Governments and Thane Municipal Corporation to take immediate measures, including a comprehensive commuter survey and capacity augmentation of public transport; introduce more long-route buses connecting Mumbra, Diva and Kalwa with major employment and educational hubs in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai; double peak-hour railway services on the Thane–Diva corridor; minimise delays

Dear Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, I suggest “Climate-Smart India – Every Citizen as a Climate Resilience Champion” for Mann Ki Baat. Climate change is now affecting our daily lives through heatwaves, changing rainfall, cyclones, water shortages and coastal erosion. I suggest strengthening Mission LiFE through a nationwide “My Climate Action – My Contribution” movement, encouraging citizens, schools, farmers and communities to save energy and water, reduce plastic and food waste, nurture native trees and protect local ecosystems. A “Climate Citizen Challenge” could engage youth in identifying local problems and developing practical, data-driven solutions. The best grassroots ideas could be showcased through Mann Ki Baat. One Citizen. One LiFE Action. One Climate Solution. One Resilient India. Jai Hind.
