I think that bringing more Indians(working and staying abroad included) under tax-payers' category can be a major objective. For that purpose I suggest following-
1.Those who are paying tax/filing returns first time should be given attractive incentive in cash/kind for first time.Incentive for next two years if continue.
2.For them who had discontinued payingtax & want to continue now, some benefit.
3.Middlemen commission agents traders should be charged higher. Farmersno income tax at all

Dear Finance Minister, we need reduce the burden on the salaried class by providing relief for those paying maintenance in apartment complexes. New rules like service tax on maintenance exceeding Rs. 5000 is also not in the good spirit. The maintenance is high because the government does not provide potable water and electricity. 30% of the maintenance is because we pay for tankers. All the new cess has not brought relief in terms cleaner water and energy.

All charges, service charges, transaction charges, etc. on debit and credit cards should be removed. This will help increase online transactions. For example, most of the banks charge a fee for NEFT/RTGS transfer done from their website/app. This doesn't make sense because it has reduced the amount of work for them. These charges should be abolished.

Farm subsidies are not reaching the intended people. There is lot of corruption in this, starting from the village accountant till the Horticulture officer. Process needs to be improved to curb this. Another problem in states like Karnataka is that buying the items and getting the subsidy amount reimbursed has led to lot of hassles and most of the times farmers just give up on that. It will be better to ask the farmers to pay the balance amount only after subsidy.
