A very good solution is that a new river can be made parallel to ganga (Both side of the Ganga) for recycled water from Sewerage Treatment Plant. This river can be underground tunnel made from Big Pipes (There can be more parallel tunnels). This river distribute such water to industry and agriculture. Ganga water should be controlled from DAMS. Both banks of Ganga should be made property. Scrap and solid waste (Building Material) can be used for Ganga Banks.

Well India is country of various culture and tradition.We cannot change or tell them to change.One thing we can do there r many people in India throw garbage in water anywhere they see,there should be awareness programme on tv.In theatre there r such things done,it should also be done on Television on National channel.Train them to dump there waste in there surrounding making big whole and dump daily waste this will help for fertilization.The ganga waste will also be cleared. Ban usage of POLYTHENE near to Ganga river built ponds by diverting the river flow near to temple so that people can dip in pond than littering flowing river and re-filter water of pound.
Stop using wood instead use electric dead body burner for burning the dead body.
