Prevent carrying of plastic bags,bottles and flowers by people to the Ganga ghats.This should be the first major step taken to clean Ganga.The next step should be to use machines and nets to collect the wastes dumped in the river.These measures should be seriously taken up.

can we find some financial benefit from wastage form ganga cleaning? by this we can make this done by some company or organisation. also it creats employment.

1. eliminate major chock ups in ganga path, make flow smooth, flowing water helps automatic cleaning during rain season.
2. put filter nets of shape which drags garbage to sides of river where we can collect it easily.
3. check major chemicals hazardous to bio system and stop pouring it directly in ganga in place of that we can provide separate water/chemical diluted channel to sea.
4. provide Eco friendly technology to clean leathers to Kanpur leather workers.

It is very important to provide alternate source of water and drainage if the river is to be kept clean.
If enough efforts are taken for beautification of the riverbanks the waterways can become a world-class tourism site, but transport must be restricted.
