Solar street lights have multiple advantages. Energy saving is just one of them. Today we have sufficient street lighting. But due to overgrown trees many roads are pitch dark. Solar street poles can be of lesser height, so the trees can keep growing, we will still have well lit roads. The same poles can be used for CCTV cameras also.

Each colony in the NDMC area can be adopted as a model for at least one project. For e.g. we can have solar street lights in Laxmi Bai Nagar. Sarojini Nagar can be earmarked for waste water recycling, because you have a nallah passing through the colonly. We need not even wait for an auspicious date and time to do this. This will have many advantages. The success / failure of a project can be tested in just one colony, instead of doing it the entire NDMC are and wait for results.

Traffic Management is an important aspect of the Smart City. In Lutyens we have good roads, but many of them are with road dividers and we have a lot of roundabouts. Both result in a traffic mess. We need to think about it.

In smart city more attention should paid on nature .As we see in city in1km around area have only 1or 2 tress were planted .Amount of sulphur and carbon monoxide increase day by day by large consumption of private vehicles so some movement like swach bharat movement that encourage people's about conservation of nature .

Basic connectivity (communication) to the main city has to be developed. Metro train has made life better for Gwalior still inter connectivity within the city has to be completed in next 5-6 years as there is huge traffic problem in the city due to VIP movement/influx of people from other states and huge bottlenecks in the road connectivity. So that it will help in traffic movement...

१) ट्रैफिक प्रबंधन उत्तम श्रेणी का होना चाहिए : इसके लिए अनधिकृत पार्किंग, जो की ऑटो, बस या फिर प्राइवेट वहां द्वारा मुख्य मार्गो पर होती है को समाप्त करें
२) ज्यादा से ज्यादा उ टर्न की व्यस्था हो और रेड लाइट समाप्त हों,
३) जरुरत पड़ने पर वन वे व्यवस्था लागू की जाए
४) पब्लिक यातायात की उत्तम व्यवस्थान हो ताकि जनता प्राइवेट वहां का प्रयोग कम से कम करे
5) डस्टबिन केवल डिब्बों के ही हों, खुलें स्थान को डस्टबिन का रूप न दिया जाए
६) अनधिकृत ठेले, स्टाल स्थापित न होने दिए जाएँ और जहाँ हैं

स्मार्ट सिटी में सिटी बस की अच्छी सुविधा होनी चाहिए , जिस से रीक्शा चालको की मनमानी खत्म हो जाए , रीक्शा चालको के द्रारा लोगो से मनचाहे पैसे वसूलना , लोगो को रीक्शा में बिठाकर रीक्शा को भिन्न॰भिन्न रास्तो पर घुमा घुमा के ज्यादा कीलोमीटर चढाकर लोगो से ज्यादा पैसे लेना , और रीक्शा चालको के द्रारा लोगो के साथ लूटफाट करने जैसे बनाव को रोकने के लिए स्मार्ट सिटी में रीक्शा चालको पर कडे कानून लागु करने चाहिए ।

Education through 'Smart Schools' can only be the smart solution to all identified problems listed for voting, and to all other possible problems, to make NDMC and all other listed cities as 'SMART' cities, In fact, the entire country require 'Smart Education (including value education)' to empower our youths to take 'SMART INDIA' ahead in coming decade(s). Over and above we need 'Smart long-term Planning' without compromising with our national interest.

The green waste / remaining of trimmed trees & bushes in Smart Cities may be taken out of the cities and utilised by the Pulp & Paper mills across the country. The ULBs may draw MoUs with the nearby Pulp & Paper mill(s). Such endeavour may be incentivised by respective State Government / Union Government or under CSR. However, feasibility studies followed by pilot project may be taken up on case to case basis before taking a rational decision.
