Children disciplining is easy in elementary age. That is why in Japan first three years of schooling all about discipline. Help us to have strong and prosperous BHARAT. Please make discipline compulsory instead of mimicking many wasteful western type of schooling.It now well known now that electronic media and gadgets at early age is doing more harm than good.
Result Based Financing (RBF) of education with a shift from ‘input’ to ‘outcome’ based resource allocation
1. Central funds to the states conditional upon creating a strong infrastructure to collect and analyze student learning outcome (SLO) data in schools
2. Differentiated and planned instructions to children based on SLO data
3. Continuous competency assessment of in-service teachers
4. Teachers promotion, incentive and transfer through teacher identifier system that maps teachers to SLO
The government has tried to improve the education system but lacked at some points that I can tell you as I've seen and observed myself. The more schools, least facilities, unnecessary government aids to the school for construction and all, no better food, no hygiene, number of schools within same region, less teachers, teachers turning into clerks as doing all of the postal and other work, resulting in least attention to the kids education.
The key concept in the skills mentioned here which is missing is technoracy. Children do not like to only read/write but they want to do things with their hands. JP Naik who worked for elementary education in the rural areas has highlighted need for technoracy at the school level which flowers into technology. Nutan Bal Shikshan Sangh started by Tarabai Modak has been destroyed by the state castist politics. But pedagogywise they have introduced technoracy alongwith literacy in tribal schools
Schools should arrange excursions to various science centers,museums,planetariums,universities etc for all students specially below 10yrs.This important and nobel step will help students realise there dream at a very early age which would guide there future to guarenteed success!
The antidote for poor learning outcomes in government primaries is obvious and has been staring the government in the face for several decades: charter schools. Under this model rapidly expanding in the US, government transfers management of its schools to proven education NGOs or private educationists, paying them the per student cost incurred by it. A charter spells out the terms permitting a supervisory role to government with negotiated outcome commitments to be fulfilled by the transferee.
In initial years of learning it is very essentials that kids learn though innovative approaches. My son age 4 yrs attended one talkshow on "insect beauty" at NCERT and it had a great impact on him. In one show he learned about so many insects which otherwise he had no interest. He gave similar talk show at his school and his school teachers were equally impressed by 4 yr old's knowledge ....and to me that was great learning.
Finnish education system is one of the best with very good PISA scores. They do not have too many subjects or writing work. It is more focused on learning, interaction, verbal abilities, and analytical work with objects etc. Mathematics & Science can be largely taught through visual aids, activities and languages through verbal plays. Outcome should be ability to speak, express, and do activities practically rather than write 9+9=18 or cat/ rat/ bat.
1.CCE is not full proof but a good idea for continuous evaluation,a slight change is required,i.e.In the final exams whole syllabus should be included,so that students learn the art of bearing pressure.
6.Various institutes should be opened for those who want to choose a career as a teacher from his childhood.
7.All teachers should be selected from these institutions only,either for states or for center.
8.E-CLASSROOMS,E-BOARDS should be build in every school.
9.IN various areas of UP,BIHAR etc.the students qualify their exams by performing illegal activites(CHEATING),in which teachers also support students.So how can we create qualty students.This needs to be changed.
