Ticketing system provided by IRCTC is excellent but it worst during the period of TATKAL booking.

PLEASE MAKE THE TICKET FOR THE GENERAL CLASS ON THE MOBILE ITSELF AND DO THE SAME FOR THE PLATFORM TICKET EVEN AND FOR THE MONTHLY PASS THESE APPLICATION SHOULD BE FILED ONLINE AFTER THE PROCESSING THE FEES SHALL BE COLLECTED ONLINE AND THE PASS WILL BE ISSUED ON THE MOBILE AND SEND A CONFIRMATION ON THE EMAIL ID SON THE INDIVIDUAL HAS A HARD COPY

Please make the trains run on Time, if required, have a consultant from Europe or Japan for this. This is REQUIRED and quite urgent too.
These days the trains are late indefinitely by 6-8 or even 19 hours which create problems for us to attend office on time !!

Can you please amend the registration requirements in the IRCTC system. I am an NRI, why do I require an indian mobile phone number to register?. If I can by airlines ticket without the Indian telephone number, Why I can't buy Railway tickets. If it is required to send a verification code, then we may send in the email or any country registered mobile number.

Make Travel insurance premium as part of railway fare either compulsory or voluntary like in case of air tickets so that in case of any unfortunate mishap in railway do not got burdened on government for compensation.

Debit card payment facility should be made available at all reservation counters. Beginning can be made from large cities to slowly spread to all reservation counters. PMJDY has given almost everyone debit cards so people will be encouraged to use it. It will save time in transactions. No hassle for change and staff would be relieved. So win win situation!!

Continued from previous post. If Tatkal tickets are supposed to be non refundable then IR should not issue Waitlisted Tatkal tickets. The people who get tatkal tickets just loses the cancellation fee to the IR as the non-refundable policy of confirmed Tatkal tickets makes waitlisted tatkal tickets not getting confirmed. This is clearly a clever method to extract money from unsuspecting travelers trying to book tatkal tickets. Government should refrain from such money making against public.

The policy of not refunding tatkal tickets is very wrong. The basic reason anybody would book a ticket is that they want to travel on board. But when you buy a tatkal ticket and somehow your plan gets changed nobody cares to cancel the ticket as no money will be refunded making it a redundant seat. Now, the people who bought the waitlisted tatkal ticket will not be confirmed as no one cancels their ticket. This makes buying waitlisted tatkal tickets useless as they don't get confirmed.
