New Education Policy:Govt employees are not allowed / permitted to pursue PhD while being in job. It is a biggest demerit in UGC-Rules also. Useless norms of UGC are 6 months basic teaching- not required at all. Each Govt. Office/ Institute should be linked with two particular Recognized University for any courses and for PhD and higher studies with 'MOU' so that there is no need of permission from both ends.

NEP 2016 should prohibit all politicians to enter this education field because these people only commercialised the education staring from Kinder Garten to Post Graduation. Twenty five years ago, the education system was perfect and any eligible student can get into his choice of career easily because the admission process was transparent and cost was affordable.

To start any school or college, the founder needs to be highly qualified academician. He has to charge fees only as per his cost.

There is a need for fundamental, radical, and dramatic transformation of our educational policies which bring forth graduates with poor analytical and linguistic skills, and who are totally not capable of individual work as they have escaped academic rigour,by being part of groups and have passed out due to low pass marks/grace marks.
This can be achieved by changes in the curriculum, the teaching process which favours rote memory, the evaluation process emphasising effectiveness instead of effcy.

Skillful and job oriented higher education is the need of the hour in order to increase the employment opportunities, which is still far from the youths. Checking the quality of professional courses running in colleges whose numbers are mushrooming day by day, is a must for this.
More importantly, new thrust is needed in the primary education sector. All over the country state of primary education is pathetic. Quality of education given to our kids, especially in govt colleges, is very poor.

HRD ministry, University , Stat Govt and other stake holders should think the reasons. Verify how many students admitted in the engg education are passing all subjects within the 4 yrs of time under each category. Govt spends several thousands of crores in the name of scholarships / education loans, etc. How far they ar effective in producing employable graduates.

Many courses at graduation level can be easily completed in one or two years but it takes 3 years to complete and courses are also not properly updated with time to time. Due to which students are not getting updated & practical knowledge and as a result they didn't get good jobs hence such three years of time will be waste full for them.

Schools / colleges should not be allotted to politicians. They only have spoiled the total education system by taking huge donations from students only to grab the money. They do not pay even reasonable salary to the teachers and non teaching staff. They have opened their education shops only . Only Government has to run the education system.
