Most of the population is effected badly by high cost of pathalogy labs and scanning centres (MRI, CT Scan, Ultrasound etc) almost 75% of the amount paid goes to referred doctor or hospital or nursing homes. cost of spinal MRI is in the range of 6500 to 8000 in market and hospitals, I got it done 4 to 5 times at 2000 to 2500 fm centre known to me. that shows atleast 75% overshrged amt is for doctors referred case. pl look into this matter, crores of people all over India are effected.

It can be said without fear of contradiction that like education, HEALTH also touches every single family immensely. So, the need of the time is that HEALTH FACTOR BE APPROACHED WITH TWO POLICY -- SHORT-TERM POLICY AND LONG TERM POLICY. Long drawn road-map is a must for lasting solutions to various aspects of problems relating to Health. However, the policy must be able to create such a mechanism that the people are provided HEALTH CARE AT THEIR DOOR-STEP QUICKLY. NGOs CAN ALSO BE INVOLVED.

Bring all Medical facilities run by Ashrams/Charitable Trusts/ Non Profit Organisations in main stream by providing them VISIBILITY and a CREDIT RATING.
Without any additional investment, lakhs of these Medical facilities can be utilised for public at large with extended reach.

This will give credibility to both Government as well as these facilities.

Health of the people mostly depends on what they eat. All vegetables are heavily poisoned by pesticides used by farmers. There should be strict policies on sale and usage of pesticides. All developed countries have this policies to protect the people. In India there is no way to check what all poisons are there in the food.

I am not sure if there is any benefit of writing on this post or not. Is any body concerned about the views expressed here or not. Mr PM you want to talk to examines this time but have bothered to see my earlier posts those had some serious suggestion like single medical entrance test for all medical colleges (both private and govt) will save lot of time and money and fuel of the country. And above all prevent corruption. And the students will not have to bother about so many tests and be distre

Health Insurance requires an immediate and solid boost. Gov's Swasthya Beema scheme is good. However its reach is limited. It requires intense marketing

I would like to bring our governments attention to the very important topic of public heath which is an established healthcare system in developed countries dedicated to the prevention of diseases in our population. One aspect of this system is Surveillance of diseases which includes mandatory reporting of some diseases and calculate their incidence and prevalence. It is very important because it will help to government to allocate the money where the mouth. I'm a public health profess. in USA.
