High time we look at moving away from defined silo verticals of education of Arts, Science, Commerce. Why not have Liberal Arts like curriculum as in US? Only different stream sgould be Engineering, Medical, Law....=> specalised fields

Marks parity across Board is a conundrum. there should be One national Board like examination eg SAT forming 25%-30% for college admissions.

Continue.... Also take Science.A student who does experiments but cannot get 90 marks.Such students cannot get good college of Science.Are they not able to get entry?Actually primary importance should be given to these students by college because they are 'Practical'.

Students are only mugging up very little questions that test them for application of knowledge. Few subjects should be open book exams....atleast 50% marks which focuses on application and will address the cheating issue in some parts of the country

IB schools sutudent suffer in colege admission after 12th grade as results come out in August. Will be great if they are given admissions based on predictive marks as International Universities do subject to them meeting the final grades. Indian Univs do not know how to handle preditive marks

Sir,Our marking system cannot judge students.It devides high and low intelligent groups.I think every student has a specific talent that may be different.We have to give preference to student's liking and skill.

CCE pattern introduced by CBSE needs improvement. It has been observed that students who studied according to CCE Pattern (and even got good grades) are doing poorly in XI and XII standards. Firstly they couldnt cope up with the full syllabus burden of XI and XII in final exams. Also there have been many events in which schools and their teachers give undue favour to some students in IX & X home based examination. This is degrading quality of education and students are lacking skills&Knowledge

1.. 8th tak Jo pass karne ki policy Congress government ne chlai this usne education ka satyanas kar diya.esliye education ka system thin karna hai to sabse pahle es policy ki khatam karna hoga. 2..Board exam me Pardarshita khatam ho chuki hai. Esliye is aur kade kadam uthane ki sakhat jarurat hai. JAI HIND

Let me 1st share a recent story:
Class 12th exams. In Maths paper students complain of tricky ques just because they could not use their grey cells.

Reasons:
1. Students from the elementary school are spoon fed and are subjected to rote learning.
2. No importance given to the practical exams. The practical marks are in the hands of our teachers.
3. Less importance to physical and extra-curriculum activities.
4. Exams are subjective but should be changed to adaptive objective pattern.
