Sir, My today's implementable suggestion on how excessive agricultural income shown in ITRs can be proved, I have suggested to file a scrutiny of all such assessees declaring Rs.50 Lakkhs& above( to begin with such cut off limit) in d FY for past 30 years. Sone tax experts would argue,how govt can ask for scrutiny of ITRs filed decades ago, when as per law, GOI itself has notified that at present no scrutiny would be asked beyound 3 years, (During UPA regime it was for 8 FY limit) My answer is yes, this protection is available only for honest tax payers only & not for those who hide their truthful income to avoid paying their tax dues. This amounts to tax evasion in turn avoiding paying Govt dues. For Govt rightful dues,govt can file a demand claim for past 30 years preceding the date of scrutiny notice issued. Now if Govt doesn'thave any ITR data, then scrutiny from oldest data of ITR be started. besides existing palatial currently valued above Rs100cr b asked to b justified.
