Corporation of Chennai is preparing a proposal towards Smart City Challenge which would include city wide smart urban solutions as well as identification of areas within the city for its implementation.

The proposal would be defined primarily based on voice of Chennai residents. An extensive citizen engagement programme is established by Corporation of Chennai to document the views and concernsfor the same.

Residents may post their opinion and ideas on civic services such as transport, parking, water supply, sanitation, energy, housing, IT solutions,health, education, safety and security. Your views, opinion and solutions on urban issues faced by Chennai would not only support a better tomorrow for Chennaites, it will also make Chennai a strong contender for getting shortlisted as one of the first 20 cities in India to implement Smart City Solutions in Phase 1.

Chennai citizen and community is its biggest strength. Let’s participate to make this proposal inclusive and meaningful for every common man, every citizen.

To make chennai a beautiful city-singara chennai,we should have clean streets. But in chennai in so many places we have obstales on the road.The tour operators and vehicle owners park their vehicles on the narrow streets. Herewith I have attached some file photos showing the inconvenience faced by the common people.The place is MADHAVAN NAGAR,3 RD.STREET,PUTHAGARAM,KOLATHUR,CHENNAI-600099. We request you to remove this obstacle immediately.

1.Extend the road facility to control traffic. 2.All bus stop, Bus stand, railway stations and all road signals includes CCTV camera attached with city corporation control room. 3.Smart card facility to be introduced in Bus, train and other conveyances. 4.Green trees should be developed in the road side in cleanty manner. 5.Banners should be limited and all banner displaying control should be under city corporation. 6.utilizing the resources properly to improve the ground water level.

Smart city is much more than good roads and drainage and wifi zones everywhere. We need to reduce cars on the road. That means public transport should become world class. Also integrated like singapore where smart cards can be used for train or bus. Where people love to use clean and swift buses and trains. Where electric and solar power widely used. Where there are dedicated lanes for cycle. Or roafs where three and four whelers banned to promote cycling. EB MWSSB roadworks sync in digging rd
