:The Udyam Registration process was introduced as a simplified registration process for MSMEs. It replaced the earlier system of filing EM-I/II (Entrepreneur Memorandum) and Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM). This aims to reduce paperwork and bureaucracy, making it easier for businesses to access government schemes and benefits.
