Lucknow is the capital city of the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. A major metropolitan city of India. It is the second largest city in north and central India after Delhi. Lucknow has always been known as a multicultural city that flourished as a North Indian cultural and artistic hub and seat of Nawab power in the 18th and 19th centuries. It continues to be an important centre of government, education, commerce, aerospace, finance, pharmaceuticals, technology, design, culture, tourism, music and poetry.

Lucknow Municipal Corporation is preparing the Smart City Proposal with an intent to plan and provide smart solutions to the city and welcomes the citizens of Lucknow to post their views, opinions, thoughts and plans on smart solutions for their needs related to water supply, sanitation, solid waste management, storm water drainage, waste water management, affordable housing, energy efficiency, use of renewable and solar energy, non-motorized transport, underground electric cabling, open space development, safety, healthcare, education, culture and heritage, public transport, key infrastructure such as pedestrian walkways, cycle tracks, roads, underpasses, Fly overs, services such as e-governance tools etc.

Inputs from citizens is crucial for framing a vision for Lucknow and to get selected as one among the top 20 cities in the first year, in the Smart City Challenge round.

Cleanliness should be mandatory if any person find who is split on the road should be penalized and he should also clean the road.
2) Proper medical facility for all who are BPL in free cost.
3) Knowledge is better than wealth, for knowledge guards you
while you have to guard wealth. Knowledge
increases the actions, but wealth gradually
decreases as it is spent."so

In Lucknow flyovers should be made in such a manner that if we move from charbagh to Mahanagar no red light signal should be there and people can move freely from one place to another for which Govt can charge TOLL tax by pasting stickers on the screen of each vehicle which can be operated thru Server and cameras and Toll tax will automatically be deducted from the vehicle owners account. x

1.local government addresses complaints with mobile technology...by implementing a pilot program using GIS and GPS technologies that break the city into smaller zones and track all complaints within these zones.
2.Increase recycling through citizen incentives...
3.promoting solar energy to increase sustainability
4.An online portal that provides access to more services related to education, employment, government information, and more.

Using latest communication technologies the quality of connectivity between individuals should be enhanced. Communication between the citizens and the government should be made easy. Ways must be made out to reduce costs and resources while providing a more eco-friendly environment.
promoting and encouraging elements less harmful to the environment must be followed out. surveilance cameras covering every corner of city should be installed to detect crimes and to stop unlawful means .

I think trees are must for smart city I don't mean garden but a small forest with plenty of trees and a lake with rare fishes, where rabbits moving around with swans and duck it would be nice to see deer too like I saw in Kanpur zoo .
I mean to say a small forest. this could be done on useless places such as near Gomti
