Mangalore Smart city should envisage development for next 100 yrs keeping in mind the delicate ecology of this region.
Old city to be retained as it is with its heritage values. New corridors should be developed. Smart city initially to be planned under 4 main divisions
a. Mangalore Water front city
b. Udupi-Mangalore corridor.
c. Mangalore Cornish
d. Derlakatte Ring Road corridor.

Mangaluru should have a large road with separate lanes for ambulance,light,heavy vehicles.Along with a pedestrian way.Centralized emergency control center.breaking of rules should be punished.canals to pass rain water such that it should absorb water from bottom of canals.closed drainage.solar for power.metro to nearby cities.park,sculptures to indicate the culture of mangaluru.Centralized traffic control system and high speed wi-fi in bus and railway stations.Totally a digital city.
