In #Vadodara to make it #smartcity, We need really smart people in #Vadodara municipal corp instead of corrupt people who are involved in corruption of tenders which have demolished the beauty of the city instead of developed one made by visionary king sir Sayajirao Gaekwad...currently scandal of demolishing ponds are going on in city which have led city towards pollution and damage to environment due to our corrupt and duffer VMC members...Will these duffers make #Vadodara #smartcity????

Grass root education is the main essence in achieving smartness. If children at a very young age are inducted with the right values, we can expect the future to be bright. Internet exposure is a must in today's age. Kids should be taught to express their views freely. Debates and discussions on a better future should be done in schools. Smart cities will evolve if children are taught smart values. 100% education and fearless expression of misconduct combined with swift action will make us smart.

1. rain water harvesting and minimum tree plantation should be made compulsory for industries.
2. industries should be encouraged to use solar power for office loads and minimum tree plantation in their premises and surrounding premises should be compulsory.
3. Permission of industries should not be given without connection to sewage treatment plant (stp).
4. Common stp can be provided for GIDCs and the cost of this can be charged to the industries using it as per usage in their local taxes.

1. bio & non-bio deg. garbage should be segregated, bio deg. can be used in biogas plant and used to provide cheap fertilizer to nearby villages and electricity to nearby places.
2. Dustbins should be provided at regular intervals on the roads and outside each society, these should be big dustbins and should be cleared daily and old or damaged dustbins should be replaced regularly, they should be covered. 3. Fines should be levied on ppl litering or throwing garbage outside provided dustbins.

Smart city means more aminities for citizens: 1. online payment for Gas, Electricity, local taxes. 2. online / mobile based complaints for small aminities like street lights, electricity, telephone, drainage, potholes, etc. 3. All building should have standard min. requirements for drinking water, elect., drainage, without which occupation of that property should not be allowed. 4. Disconnection of these services with call / internet should be allowed, to make it hassle free.

Green vadodara is also as important as smart vadodara.
1. Tree plantation drives in residential societies, wherever open plots are available or on sides on roads. 2. tree plantation by VMC on dividers and sides of all roads, trees selected should be such that which give shade and not only ornamental. 3. Extensive tree plantation in GIDC area by help from local industries and MNCs like siemens, ABB, Areva, Alsom, etc..4. Ponds should be deepened and cleaned with tree plantation on banks.

Vishwamitri river should be cleaned up and riverfront should be developed as soon as possible. 1. Effluent / drainage / garbage dump in vishwamitri should be banned and strict measures should be taken for defaulters. 2. River should be deepend to avoid flooding during release of water from ajwa dam 3. measures to increase ground water should be taken by providing mini dams on river. 4. crocodile park should come up in the river. 5. reacreational activities should be taken up on the river front

One of the major things that can change the city into a smart city is transportation. Vadodara needs a world class metro which reduce the traffic on our roads. Only one metro line can be started initially keeping in mind the flow of traffic from residential places like sama / karelibaug / chhani to manjalpur GIDC. And feeder buses from each metro station can be run on circular routes at half an hour intervals. this will ensure reduction of vehicular pollution & develop a green city.
