Office of the Registrar General of India recently conducted a video crowd-sourcing competition #UsForCensus on MyGov to spread awareness on Census through people’s participation. The participants were asked to submit a self-made video around the topic ‘Why Census is important’. The Office of the Registrar General of India is thankful to all for participating in the contest.

The UN General Assembly passed a Resolution in December, 1987, proclaiming 26th June of each year as the “International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking”. Thus, every year on 26th June, steps taken by the Government against drug abuse and illicit trafficking are highlighted, apart from spreading awareness on the subject.

To generate awareness on the importance of Census in India, Office of the Registrar General of India conducted a contest to Create a Slogan for Census 2021 on the MyGov platform. 8502 entries were received for the contest but none could be finalized as a slogan for Census 2021. However, as a gesture of appreciation, 5 contestants have been chosen for recognition. The prize money will be distributed evenly among the selected entries and the selected slogans will be used in different creatives for Census India 2021.
