Syntheri rock is a huge 300 ft tall monolithic granite located inside the dense Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary,about 20 kms from Joida tauk of Uttar Kannada.The effect of erosion is clearly seen on this rock,with hollows all over it.Syntheri rock is 300 ft in height & 600 ft in width.At Synthri,River Kaaneri flows with great speed before joining River Kali.Since it is Tiger Reserve,the place is surrounded by thick forest.One can see wild animals too.
