Recognizing the universal appeal of Yoga, owing to its demonstrated benefits towards immunity building and stress relief, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) proclaimed 21st June as the International Day of Yoga (IDY) on 11th December 2014. Since 2015, this day has been observed all over the world in ever-growing numbers, with the objective of reminding people across the globe about the benefits of Yoga, and to build enduring public interest in Yoga by highlighting its importance and contributions to the public health.

The preparations for the 7th International Day of Yoga (IDY 2021) have already begun and the Ministry of AYUSH (MoA) is looking forward to active participation from the people. The event will be observed in compliance with the COVID-19 guidelines of the government, with a greater focus on digital activities. In these tough times, all are encouraged to “Be with Yoga, Be at Home”

With this backdrop, MoA invites all citizens to share their ideas on how people can plan to observe the 7th IDY at home with their friends and families while mobilizing the wider community to maintain the ethos of Yoga and ensure community wellbeing. These ideas can be further utilized by the Ministry in conduction different programs dedicated to building the enduring public interest in Yoga by highlighting its importance and contributions to public health

The last date for submission of ideas is 30th June 2021.

Hi Good afternoon, Yoga is best for our health and best for stay healthy and stay safe. Due to corona pandemic situation it is more important that we have to be safe. Post your favorite yoga pose in your social media, Tag and challenge your five friends to do the same pose and post picture. Whoever take up the challenge write a appriciation note on their social media wall. Which may include appreciating at least five of their individual qualities as a person. This may encouraged more people to actively engage with eachother with the subject of yoga and apriciating eachother presence in thire life A good way to stay connected in challenging time.

In these tough times, Yoga can help us in the best way to come out of this stress. According to me: 1. Entire family member must actively be a part of it and perform yoga. 2. Meditate & do OM chanting (best relieving verse) 3. Most importantly, surround yourself with positive thoughts.

we have 4 decades list of top 100 rich $$ persons-Forbes etc. but not 1 seen on top 100 healthy persons ! hypocrisy health is wealth ? Modi cud but did not do it. Still not late. Have a list of top 100 healthy Indians (1 criteria no doctor visit in last 2/3 years) & ask them the secret if yoga practitioners name them yoga ambassadors instead of tughlaq talibani taimmur ammas & abbas ! To celebrate the 7th International Day of Yoga at home follows the below points : 1) Pray god this will create positive energy around you. 2) Do a little exercise first that will be a warmup example slow running on your own place, in-out breathing. 3) Do some yoga like kapalbhati, anulomvilom, bastrika. 4) Do some meditation. This will give peace and energy. 5)Do OM chanting and open your eyes gently. for OM chanting follow the given link.

yoga is like the most powerful tonic , that we drink means do to become healthy and fit. yoga help us in many way , or u can say in every single way , for eg. its help in body development, mental health increase , inner peace and many more. but we should not only do yoga for single day like 21st june , we have to do it every single day for the result.
