I am pleased to submit key suggestions for the Union Budget 2025-26, focusing on transparency, sustainability, and economic growth. Recommendations include: Streamlined Tax Compliance: Mandating financial institutions to report premiums, interest payments, and deductions directly to the tax portal for auto-population, ensuring accuracy and preventing misuse. Green Taxation: Introducing incentives for sustainable practices and carbon taxes on polluting industries, with revenues directed toward green initiatives. Technology Integration: Leveraging AI and blockchain for enhanced compliance, fraud detection, and efficient revenue collection. Support for MSMEs and Startups: Simplified tax policies and incentives for innovation, job creation, and green technologies. These measures aim to address economic and social challenges, foster responsible financial behavior, and ensure fair revenue collection. Thank you for this opportunity to contribute to the nation’s progress.

Measures for Simplification of the taxation of Partnership Firms Partnership firms under Indian Partnership Act, 1932 are mostly represented by a few individual partners who come together to put their efforts to earn a livelihood. In majority of cases they are two or three partners in numbers and mostly form tiny and small enterprises. At present these firms are taxed at the rate of 30% on their taxable profits under The Income Tax Act, 1961. On the other hand individuals get the benefit of slab rates and partners get deprived of this slab rate advantage which amounts to Natural Justice denied to them. This anomaly in the taxation of partnership profits needs to be set right by taxing the share of profit in the hands of partners and not in the hands of the firm on the grounds of the principal of natural justice giving them the advantage of slab rates available to individuals.

In addition to raising limit for taxable income and exemptions on savings such as PPF, it is suggested to give benefit as below for tax paying middle class: 1. Free access to all ASI monuments and Union Govt controlled parked to all people who have paid tax and filed ITR after paying atleast some tax. 2. Linked accidental insurance coverage to the amount paid through tax to the individual accounts. 3. Impose some maximum limit such as Rs 25 Lakh of keeping cash at home or office at a time. If someone wants to spend more, it should be through bank accounts/UPI/Cheque.
