Restrict 100 percent supply of soft drinks and drinking water through containers below 500ml. Restrict 100 percent supply of drinking water in mini PET containers in function halls, meetings or conference halls, public meetings or other special occasions. Setting up of automated soft drink and drinking water outlets with disposable cups in railway stations, Airports, parks, shopping malls, markets, theatres and tourist spots will inturn reduce the usage of PET containers. Setting up of PET containers collection points by the concerned company in all premises where they have selling outlets. Ensure proper mechanism for reuse or recycle of used PET containers by the manufacturers. Restrict supply of soft drinks or drinking water in containers without company label. Impose penalty to the companies whose used containers are disposed on roads, water bodies, railway tracks, bus stand, tourist spots, etc. Establish mobile soft drink or drinking water outlets in moving transportation system

Plastic recycling is a vital process that reduces environmental pollution and conserves natural resources. Most plastics are derived from crude oil, a non-renewable fossil fuel. By recycling plastic, we reduce the demand for virgin oil, thereby preserving energy and minimizing carbon emissions. Advanced methods like chemical recycling can break down plastic waste into synthetic crude oil or fuel, offering a valuable alternative to traditional oil extraction. This recovered oil can be refined and reused in industries such as transportation, power generation, and manufacturing. Recycling also helps in managing plastic waste efficiently, keeping it out of landfills and oceans. Moreover, oil made from recycled plastic has the potential to support energy needs while lowering environmental impact. This integrated approach—recycling plastic into oil and using it responsibly—promotes sustainability, reduces dependency on fossil reserves, and moves us closer to a circular economy.
