National Statistical Office (NSO) under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is undertaking the Base Revision Exercise of the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) to ensure that the index remains aligned with the current structure and dynamics of India’s industrial sector.

As part of this initiative, MoSPI has released a Discussion Paper 1.0 titled “Substitution of Factories in the Compilation of the Index of Industrial Production”, which details the proposed methodology for the upcoming IIP series and seeks to enhance accuracy and representativeness in future compilations.

The Ministry invites views, comments, and suggestions from experts, academicians, Central & State Government departments, financial institutions, industry bodies, and all other stakeholders. Feedback may be shared at: iipcso@nic.in

My suggestion on Digital authentication across India: We should start using digital authentical for all government apps, government sites, ATMs, Property registrations, and bank sites. An example of digital authentication is https://www.bankid.com/ Almost all of Europe, the US other progressive countries are now using this. Instead of relying on SMS, we can utilize our 5G, 6G internet across India. It offers superior security, a better user experience, and a unified digital identity across banks, government, and private services, acting as a strong two-factor authentication (2FA) with biometrics (fingerprint/face ID) or PIN within a single app, making logins smoother and more reliable than SMS codes that can be intercepted or delayed.

my name is Lanka praveen, I am telling about boiler manufacturing industry, it is more efficient industry in world every industry depends on boiler because of power. what I mentioned please give to small industries permission to increase the productivity and also generate the more power from them. we have lots of power plants, but some industries not follow the procedure and rules they want only productivity. they don't know if your get more production but they are compramise in quality this is not fair,if they are increasing the productivity they are increasing increasing the quality of products. power is main in every industry that's why power plants are more successful in world.
