National Statistical Office (NSO) under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is undertaking the Base Revision Exercise of the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) to ensure that the index remains aligned with the current structure and dynamics of India’s industrial sector.

As part of this initiative, MoSPI has released a Discussion Paper 1.0 titled “Substitution of Factories in the Compilation of the Index of Industrial Production”, which details the proposed methodology for the upcoming IIP series and seeks to enhance accuracy and representativeness in future compilations.

The Ministry invites views, comments, and suggestions from experts, academicians, Central & State Government departments, financial institutions, industry bodies, and all other stakeholders. Feedback may be shared at: iipcso@nic.in

Suggestions: 1) There is a lot of corruption in the police verification step of the Passport process. We need to introduce a new digital process. 2) Remove the 7/12 utara for cities where we are not doing farming now. Also, these land documents should be available on WhatsApp by calling the government no. 3) Boost to ISRO budget. Our own AMCA development. 4) Notebandi 2.0

Suggestions: 1) All link systems to Aadhar card should enforce to use same address, phone no, email, gender, name details and other systems should not allow to edit it. Currently, I can see a difference in Adhar, Pan, Votind and psport systems. 2) Thanks for the UIP payment integration in ATM withdrawal, but I will suggest that we need to completely remove the OTP system in all online transactions and need to use digital signatures. An example of this is the " Bank ID " app: https://www.bankid.com/ 3) For all private contractors who build roads in India, we need to enforce a new law stating, " the road should last in the best condition for at least 10 years, else pay 55% fine of the total contract value" 4) Thanks for the digital passport, but we need to keep kiosks in every international airport to get biometrics of the person so that they can get registered for "Fast Track Immigration - Trusted Traveller Program (FTI-TTP)" at the airport only.
