India is home to one of the youngest populations in the world, making our youth a transformative force capable of reshaping the nation’s socio-economic future. In today’s rapidly evolving global landscape marked by disruptive technological advancements, youth face unprecedented opportunities and challenges. In this context, a progressive, technology-enabled, inclusive, and future-ready National Youth Policy is imperative to enable youth to realize their full potential and contribute meaningfully to the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047. A draft National Youth Policy, 2025 (NYP-2025) has been prepared which provides a holistic and future-ready framework for the development, empowerment, and engagement of youth in nation-building. In this regards Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with MyGov are inviting inputs/suggestions from Citizens on draft NYP 2025 for inclusion in the policy.

Dear Sir Today passed out Youth from any stream are used to for short cuts and that is good also when it comes to deliverables. But when it comes to face real life situations or any decision in office, they get set back as they feel whether they will get succeed or not. I wish they should get counseling once they pass out from Counselling Centre formed by the respective Institute or by recognised Institute such that they can face such challenges.The training can be on hypothetical situations which will help them to corelate with real life situations.

​Skill Development & Employability: Focus on industry-aligned courses (like AI, Cybersecurity), Rural Skill & Job Hubs, and mandatory paid apprenticeships. ​Digital Education & Cyber Safety: Includes compulsory digital literacy and training in AI, coding, and data literacy. ​Mental Health & Well-being: Proposes Youth Wellness Centres and free counselling/stress support. ​Youth Entrepreneurship & Startups: Suggestions include a Youth Startup Fund and Rural incubation centers. ​Education Reforms: Advocates for adding internships to the curriculum, digital labs, and updated learning systems.

1. Youth Skills Acceleration Grid (YSAG) A national, interoperable skills platform that syncs schools, colleges, industries, and skilling bodies. Think of it as the UPI of skilling — seamless, scalable, and everyone plugs in. Key moves: Industry-certified micro-credentials from Class 9 onwards. Annual Youth Skills Census to map demand–supply in real time. Fast-track apprenticeships for rural and Tier-2/3 youth. 🌱 2. Rural Youth Innovation Zones Let villages become launchpads, not afterthoughts. Plug-ins: Rural Idea Labs with 3D printers, drone kits, sustainable tech toolkits. Youth-led agri-tech trials: soil sensors, hydroponics, precision irrigation. Special funds for women and tribal youth innovators. 🧠 3. Mental Health First Policy No fluff — just a commitment to treat mental health like infrastructure. Add-ons: Mandatory counsellor-to-student ratio benchmarks. Youth Mental Health Corps: trained peers for first-response support.
