All citizens and stakeholders of the Salem City are invited to participate in the essay writing competition for Salem Smart City. The objective of this competition is to get an understanding the requirements, dreams and aspirations of the people of Salem City.

The citizens are requested to present the essays in the following components:

1. Major issues and challenges (Max. 150 words)
2. Proposed ideas to make the city Smart (Max. 150 words)
3. How will Salem look like in the future according to you? (Max. 200 words)

Salem Corporation will evaluate the entries and top four essays will be given the following reward:

1. 1st prize – Rs 25,000/-
2. 2nd prize – Rs 15,000/-
3. 3rd prize – Rs 10,000/-
4. 4th prize – Rs 5000/-
