The story of Gujjarakere lake demonstrates how the combined efforts of local communities, public representatives and government agencies can successfully restore and preserve traditional water bodies. I humbly suggest that the inspiring example of Gujjarakere, Mangaluru, and the efforts of the local community in restoring this historic water body may be highlighted in Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” programme as an example of community participation, heritage conservation and water conservation. I also request that such community-led initiatives for the restoration and protection of traditional lakes, ponds and water bodies across India may be encouraged under the national campaign for water conservation and environmental protection.Gujjarakere is not merely a lake; it is a part of Mangaluru’s history, religious heritage, groundwater system and community identity. Its preservation is therefore a responsibility for present and future generations.

माननीय प्रधानमंत्री जी, मैं देश के युवाओं और उनके भविष्य से जुड़ी एक बात आपके सामने रखना चाहती हूँ। भारत की सबसे बड़ी ताकत केवल उसकी जनसंख्या नहीं, बल्कि इस जनसंख्या में छिपी हुई प्रतिभा, मेहनत और क्षमता है। अगर देश का हर व्यक्ति अपनी क्षमता को पहचानकर खुद को बेहतर बनाने की कोशिश करे, ईमानदारी से मेहनत करे और उसे अपनी योग्यता के अनुसार आगे बढ़ने का अवसर मिले, तो करोड़ों लोगों की व्यक्तिगत प्रगति मिलकर देश की प्रगति बन सकती है। आज हमारे देश में बहुत से युवा पढ़ाई पूरी करके अपने करियर की शुरुआत करना चाहते हैं। लेकिन कई बार उन्हें पहला अवसर ही नहीं मिल पाता। नौकरी के लिए experience मांगा जाता है, लेकिन मेरा सवाल है कि अगर किसी fresher को पहला मौका ही नहीं मिलेगा, तो वह experience हासिल कैसे करेगा? मेरा मानना है कि हर experienced व्यक्ति कभी न कभी fresher था। किसी को अपनी क्षमता साबित करने का अवसर जल्दी मिला और किसी को उस अवसर के लिए वर्षों इंतजार करना पड़ा। ज्ञान और मेहनत होने के बावजूद मुझे अभी तक अपनी क्षमता दिखाने का उचित अवसर नहीं मिला, जिससे मैं निराश हूँ।

Do we know that about 60% of roads at Bangalore internal roads are occupied with parked vehicles ( autos, two-wheelers, cars, trucks, loading, unloading). Now, GBA wants to legalise the traffic mess by selling this parking space to rich people ( 15,000 to 25,000 per car parking annually). So, Bangalore administration do not want solve the traffic problems and they want to make money out of it to fund the vote-bank politics. What kind of administration is this ? Please see.

We are one of the most vulnerable countries in getting affected by mosquito related diseases such as malaria, dengue etc. This leads to a lot of deaths and ailments every year, affects people everywhere including our tribal communities. Why are we not doing research and experiments to neutralize the mosquito population growth by genetic modification techniques which Google has successfully done in California and other tropical climates.
