Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, I wish to suggest an initiative to protect India's temple heritage through transparent and accountable management. Temples are not only places of worship but also custodians of our history, culture and traditions. A framework could promote digital records of temple lands and assets, regular financial audits, transparent use of donations, prevention of encroachment, and preservation of ancient temples and sacred objects, while respecting established religious customs and traditions. I have prepared a draft concept titled “Goa Temple Management Policy, 2026” as a starting point for discussion. It is a proposal for consideration, not an approved government policy. I humbly request that transparent temple administration and heritage conservation be encouraged as a public-interest initiative, beginning in Goa and potentially inspiring similar efforts across India.
