We bring to you this wonderful news that our city-Pasighat has been selected under 23 fast track cities by Govt. of India and we need to submit the revised plan by 15th April 2016. As we know that we worked very hard in our previous attempt however unfortunately we missed coming in the first 20 list of cities and finished at 39th rank - missing by just 3 points. Let us take this as a positive feedback that we were very close to winning it and were far ahead of many other big cities.
Looking ahead, we need to work on the gaps identified by Govt. of India to revamp the proposal. One of the key weaknesses identified is SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat) analysis. Here, specifically, Weakness and Threat needs to be more elaborate. We have uploaded a discussion page on mygov portal about this aspect of proposal and need support of people of Pasighat to come up in big numbers and contribute towards this discussion. Let’s brace up for this challenge and work with renewed and reinvigorated spirit in the direction of making Pasighat a smart city.

Water supply remains an acute problem in Pasighat especially during the dry winter season, hence a major water lifting project be implemented as these are many rivers and streams with abundant water. The siang river alone can feed the entire area in surplus.
The AIR discussion broadcasted was informative and progressive idea.
If we shows some efforts then, pasighat can easily be an smart city with all its characteristics of available open spaces , ambient air quality law abiding citizenry, education population and good communication.
So the poor infrastructure is actually a blessing in disguise as there will be no collateral damages. New project can implemented smoothly
To make e-governance a successful project in Pasighat, public should be given to access free WIFI as everyone can not afford net pack in their mobile.
School or college education will not be enough for the one to get into any profession or job for which practical training should be as part of education given to people.
We have to replant tress in equal numbers if we have to cut down for any developmental purpose. Till today Pasighat is intact with nature’s gift. Forest law only will not protect it. District admin should gripe whole activities of manipulation of nature with iron hand.
Trees or green is important component of nature without which there is every chance of disbalancing ecology and damage environment.
To bring any development, nature should not be damaged in the name of development. Even if we need to damage, must replenish with trees.
This current shortage shows signs of only increasing as waves of retirements continue to take qualified workers from this workforce. Level 3 and 4 facilities, in particular, struggle
to find operators certified to the level of their facility. The labour shortage will be magnified in small, remote communities that have fewer resources, a smaller labour pool to draw from, and lose top talent to larger communities.
