In the run-up to COP (Conference of Parties) 21 scheduled in Paris from 30th November to 11th December 2015, MyGov and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change are pleased to announce a MyGov Talk with the Honourable Minister, Shri Prakash Javadekar on the 26th October 2015 at 5.00PM in collaboration with Google India.
With India's Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC), the country is keen to attempt to work towards a low carbon emission pathway, while simultaneously endeavouring to meet all the developmental challenges that the country faces today. The INDC aims at promoting clean energy, especially renewable energy, enhancement of energy efficiency, development of less carbon intensive and resilient urban centres, promotion of waste to wealth, safe, smart and sustainable green transportation network, abatement of pollution and India’s efforts to enhance carbon sink through creation of forest and tree cover.
Citizens are invited to share their ideas, questions and inputs on India's role in COP21 and on the following proposals laid down by INDC:
• Sustainable Lifestyles
• Cleaner Economic Development
• Reduce Emission intensity of Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
• Increase the Share of Non Fossil Fuel Based Electricity
• Enhancing Carbon Sink (Forests)
• Adaptation
• Mobilizing Finance
• Technology Transfer and Capacity Building
Selected ideas and names would also be mentioned by the Hon. Minister and other experts during the MyGov Talk.
Contributors from MyGov, Climate Change Experts, senior journalists and social media influencers will join the panel discussion with Shri Prakash Javadekar.

Many thanks for this forum regd COP 21,Paris, May not access discussion due to some technical network issues. I am of the opinion that India's INDCs to reduce emissions intensity of its GDP by 33-35% by 2030 (from the 2005) seems little ambitious as one of the main driver solar energy yet to take off. www4.unfccc.int/submissions/INDC/Submission%20Pages/submissions.aspx
China has already achieved 33 % reduction in emission per unit of GDP now targeting almost double (60 %) till 2030.

Saw High level committee report, happy. Redefining " Forest" , new classification " Treelands" , including compensatory forestry in private lands also, "no-go" areas in forest with 70% canopy etc.
As a farmer growing 20000 dry land trees, We want a simple law across country " Grow any Tree, Cut any Time, Sell /Export to anybody", permission within a month on online application, if required.
Our 60% lands are dry, suggesting separate ministry for Dry lands, more focus on tree growing
1. i suggest underground tunnels for crossing forests for road & rail traff.fic, water & irrigation canals.
2. present transparency in environment affairs is very low & inadequate. transparency should increase four-fold.
3. enormous mass-publicity is required through all medias on environment, pollution, hygiene, as well as attitude & national & public interest
इस दिवाली हम अपने घरों के साथ-साथ वातावरण को भी स्वच्छ बनायें और दिवाली के बाद भी स्वच्छ बनाये रखें:

Domestic plastic to oil machines are available in market. These machines can be financed to rag pickers 2 each through Mudra bank and supported part EMI by Govt. The Govt. can in turn support EMI through green cess on plastic sale. This step will empower rag pickers who will now be entrepreneurs. Their income will double up and each rag picker will be able to clean up 300 Kg plastic per month in the locality. Thank you.
