The voluntary efforts like tree plantation drives etc do not help much.Most of such rituals are meant for media publicity only. If we really want a 'Green India', a separate body which may be named as ' Tree Plantation Authority of India' must be set up with the task of massive tree plantation and maintenance activities. We need to have a professional approach and do it in a business like manner with the active involvement of Volunteers, if needed.

I didn't know where else to put this, but if only India adopts this energy producing source, there'd be a whole lot electricity! More clean electricity is first step in reducing use of petroleum products. Then we can move to use of electric vehicles! Just invite Elon Musk's Tesla Motors (Cars) and Zero Motors (Electric Super Bikes) to our country!

My Idea is : Sorting/Segregation of wastes

1) All thermal power plant should have 5-10% non conventional power plant.
2) Large industries should produce 10-15% power of their demand using non conventional power tech.
3) All big housing complex should have solar water heater and solar street light
4) Use of High efficiency electrical motors can be encouraged
5) Power loss / theft to be monitored strictly amd accountability should be established
6) Rain water harvesting should be encouraged. Will help to reduce water scarcity and power
