The Incubation Center (IC) of IIT Patna is a Business Incubator focused on Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) and Medical Electronics. Anyone with an idea can apply to the IC for incubation.

What is the ‘IC’? What does it do?

The IC is where ideas are incubated & converted into products and products can be developed into business. The IC nurtures start-ups which are focused on innovation and are enabling healthcare through hardware invention.

Incubation Center, IIT Patna (IC IITP) is in the process of selecting a logo for its use and has decided to conduct a contest to design it. Details of the contest are given below along with guidelines and details on the incubator and its activities.

The Challenge

Design a logo for IC IITP that represents the IC in all respects and send it to IC on before the last date of submission. If you are the winner, be prepared to submit the logo in the formats specified.

Prizes

Winner will take home Rs 5000/- as cash prize and a certificate issued by IC IITP.

Last date of submission is 15th September 2016

Guidelines

1. The logo should be original, should not be copied or used elsewhere

2. The logo should represent the IC in every way possible (see the descriptions on IC given below)

3. The logo should be scalable, memorable, easy-to-reproduce and distinctive

4. The logo should be useable in large banners, small business cards and any other merchandise IC may use in the future.

5. The entries should be accompanied with a brief explanation to provide context to the suggested logo. (i.e. Explanation of the colours, symbols, font, etc.)

6. You can participate individually or as a group

7. No limit to the number of entries per participant

8. The winning logo should be submitted to IC in the following formats: eps, tiff, jpg, png, gif and pdf

9. During the conceptualization phase, IC was assumed to connote ‘Integrated Circuit’ which is the cornerstone of any electronics-based hardware invention. Since the IC is focussed on Medical Electronics, it was decided to retain the name IC for the Incubation Centre as it could be read both ways. IIT Patna hosts the IC. IC IITP is the legal name of the entity.

10. The key words are “Nurturing”, “Innovation”, “Healthcare”, “Hardware” and “Invention”. The logo should reflect the concept of Electronic System Design and Manufacturing including Medical Electronics/ Devices.
