World Oral Health Day (WOHD) is celebrated every year on 20 March. It is an international day to celebrate the benefits of a healthy mouth and to promote worldwide awareness of the issues around oral health and the importance of oral hygiene to looking after everyone old and young.

WOHD 2016 aims to get everyone to recognise the impact their oral health has on overall physical health and wellbeing to help inspire this change, the overall campaign theme is: Healthy mouth. Healthy body.

This year we at Centre for Dental Education & Research, AIIMS, New Delhi (National Centre of Excellence for Implementation of National Oral Health Programme) want to ensure that this poster/slogan contest inspires every citizen of India to promote oral health.

Everyday, we come across several patients who suffer from unfortunate diseases which could had been avoided by proper brushing and maintaining the good oral hygiene, therefore, as a well aware and concerned healthcare professionals, we want to spread the maximum awareness about preventive measures that can avoid the maximum of oral problems.This poster aims at educating the citizens about the increasing prevalence and recommendations to overcome the oral diseases.
