New Delhi Municipal Council Smart City has been envisioned as to transform the Inner Circle of Connaught Place into the circle full of life, thriving and energetic.
Under Smart City project New Delhi Municipal Council Smart City Limited (NDMCSCL) has initiated a competition involving “citizens” in the design of Area-based development such as Pedestrianization of Connaught Place.
The participants have to design and give the desirable situation (target). The design will be assessed by the NDMCSCL on its do ability and innovation. The participants of the competition can be from any walk of life and may include citizens, students, technical experts, teachers and others.
Topic of Design Competition: MAKE YOUR CITY SMART - PEDESTRIANIZATION OF CONNAUGHT PLACE

The competition for MAKE YOUR CITY SMART - PEDESTRIANIZATION OF CONNAUGHT PLACE has three parts:
The three parts are as follows :
1. Inner Circle of Connaught Place
2. Middle Circle & Radial Roads
3. Central Park

The participants have to design only “1 Part” out of the 3 parts mentioned as “1 Entry”.
NDMCSCL has selected the following locations for each “PART” for the competition:
• Street – Inner Circle Connaught Place
• Junction – Middle Circle & Radial Road Connaught Place
• Park – Central Park
Last date of submission is 20th July, 2016
Prize Money
First Prize: Rs. 50,000/-
Second Prize: Rs. 20,000/-
Third Prize: Rs. 10,000/-
