“Setu Bharatam” is an ambitious program to ensure Railway Crossing less National Highways by 2019. In order to ensure safe and smooth flow of traffic, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has envisaged a plan for replacement of all the Level Crossings on National Highways by ROBs/ RUBs and replacement/ widening/ strengthening of weak and narrow bridges under” Setu Bharatam”.

Under this program, a total number of 208 Level Crossings have been identified for replacement by constructing ROBs in time bound manner. In addition, approximately 1500 bridges shall also be improved by replacement/widening/ strengthening in a phased manner.

Ministry of Road Transport & Highways invites entries from the public for suggesting Logo for “Setu Bharatam”

Last date for submission of entries: 31st May, 2016.

Selected entry will be awarded cash prize of Rs. 25000/- (Rs. Twenty Five Thousand only)

Am very glad to be part of this program. When I saw details about the competition the first thing came to my mind is Rama Setu, and when I made a small research I got inspired by a real photo in internet taken of Rama Setu which is apt for this idea as it's like an 'S' (S for Setu and Safety), and the rounds inside the logo resembles the floating rocks named Rama in Ramayan. The blue green color resemble the Ocean. I hope this is a suitable logo for the project #setubharatam. Thank you.

This Logo is an abstract representation of the Setu Bharatham mission. The colours used in logo are corresponding to those of our national flag; saffron, white and India green. A navy blue train portrays the Ashoka Chakra, and the contemporary depiction of a train, celebrates a new era for our 163 year old Indian Railway System. The logo can be used with or with out the text as per requirements, and it is adaptable to different media and prints. #NationalHighways #SetuBharatam #MyGov
