Winner Announcement of Quiz on Entrepreneurship 2019

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) is pleased to declare the winners of Entrepreneurship Quiz 2019 organised in order to to spread awareness on entrepreneurship among the youth, National Entrepreneurship Awards (NEA) has been instituted to recognize and honour outstanding young first generation entrepreneurs and their Ecosystem Builders for their outstanding contribution in entrepreneurship development under the NEA-2019, Entrepreneurship Quiz Competition was organised with effect from 21st August 2019-8th October, 2019 on the MyGov Platform. Total 113476 entries were received in the Quiz Competition.

One of the mandates of the Ministry of AYUSH is the promotion of the different AYUSH systems of medicine over different geographies and across different populations. The Ministry has decided to induct Telemedicine as one of the ways to achieve this goal. The Ministry, on Friday (25 October 2019), signed an MoU with M/s CSC e-Governance Services India Limited, a Special Purpose Vehicle set up by the Ministry of Electronics & IT for promoting e-Governance, to launch a pilot project of Telemedicine in the Siddha system of healthcare.

Sakshi Yadav, an eleven year old school girl from Meedhiki village in Magardha Gram Panchayat of Jabalpur district in Madhya Pradesh had heard about the Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen (SBM-G) campaign both on radio and on television. She was convinced about the need to practice safe sanitation and the need to use toilets. So when the Gram Pradhan, Roop Ram Sena asked her if she had a toilet at home, she was embarrassed and ashamed and decided to do something about it.

Aligarh Development Authority (ADA) in Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh is setting up a modular roof top rain water harvesting (RWH) unit atop the office of the Divisional Commissioner, Aligarh Division.  From water shortage to water abundance, the system will also enhance water quality and provide unlimited water storage capacity.

The ancient town of Chidambaram in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu is blessed with a large number of lakes and ponds. In total, there are 15 lakes, including 3 temple tanks and the combined surface areas of these lakes is around 100 acres with a rough storage capacity of 50 crore litres. The names of the tanks are: Vannan Kulam, Easwaran Kulam, Aanai Mettu Kulam, Nagachery Tank, Periya Anna Kulam, Gnanaprakasam, Ayikulam, Kumarankullam, Palamankulam, Thatchana Kulam, Ommakulam, Thillai Amman Koil Kulam, Elamai Akkinar Kulam, Kariaperumal Kulam, and Chinna Anna Kulam.

Held for the second consecutive year, Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2019 (SSG 2019), India’s largest sanitation survey being conducted from 14th August to 30th September, 2019 has had phenomenal response with over 3 crore people providing feedback, including 2 elderly women – a 100 year old and a 91 year old from Katni district in Madhya Pradesh.
