MyGov hosted an eGreetings design contest to celebrate our nation’s freedom and honour the great courageous souls. The contest witnessed the creative instincts of thousands of promising artists.

Over the last two & a half years, a number of major Missions have been launched by Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD), Government of India for improving the quality of urban services and bridging the urban infrastructure deficit. One of the key challenges faced is the limited revenues of cities and their limited capacity. Value Capture Finance (VCF) is an innovative urban-development funding and revenue generation tool.

The contest for designing the logo for ‘World Food India 2017’ for Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, was hosted on MyGov portal. The contest received an amazing response and more than 800 entries were received.

On the run up to the FIFA Under-17 World Cup Football that is going to be held for the first time in India from 6-28 October 2017, the government is keen to promote football as a popular sport amongst the Indian youth and get more children into playing football. Mission XI Million, launched by the Union government in February 2017, aim at training 11 million children in football by October 2017.

On 24th March, the world Tuberculosis Day is observed every year to commemorate Dr Robert Koch’s discovery of the bacteria that causes Tuberculosis (TB) called the TB bacillus. This day is also observed to create public awareness amongst people around the world about the deadly epidemic, Tuberculosis and eliminate it completely.

In yet another landmark intervention CSIR- National Physical Laboratory (NPL) has bestowed upon the nation, it’s first Pristine air-quality monitoring station at the Institute of Himalayan Bioresource (IHBT) at Palampur( Himachal Pradesh). A unique, first-of-it’s kind atmospheric monitoring station in the campus of IHBT, has been established by NPL at an altitude of 1391 m for generating the base data for atmospheric trace species and properties to serve as reference for comparison of polluted atmosphere in India.

ndia needs large investments in infrastructure for accelerating inclusive growth aimed at poverty alleviation and improvement in quality of life. Given the fiscal constraints that leave little room for expanding public investment at the scale required, Public Private Partnership (PPP) has emerged as the principal vehicle for attracting private investment in infrastructure.

Heralding the beginning of summer, India remembers the martyrs who laid down their lives to lay the foundation of a strong and independent nation. On 23rd March, the country and its citizens pay homage to the martyrs Sardar Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru, who made the supreme sacrifice for India to attain freedom.

It comes once a year but it is an overwhelming warning to value the greatest boon to mankind – Water. World Water Day honors water and draws focus on those who are bereft of it. This occasion is a persuasive aide-memoire to the human world to deal with the global water crisis.
