6. Stories : My grandfather was a primary school teacher. During Quit India movement he started secretly supplying materials required for movement. During this time he used to write against on Britisher Government office notice boards. He would make Indian flags and later hoist the Indian flags at different places. He also destroyed many postal boxes containing important documents of the British . Once Britishers came to know about this they issued a warrant against him. Afterwards, he hid from the police. During this time his father was arrested by the Kulgod Police station. He has given an account of his arrest in his diary as, "On 12th April 1943, this forced me to surrender myself to the police. They sent me to Belgaum district jail on 15th April 1943. I spent the next 11 months in Vijayapur & Yerwada Pune jail. Later they released me."

According to higher british officials, contribution of gandhi was "minimal" for them to leave india but due to our Boseji britishers werebound to leave india . As a bengali , i m proud of saying it.. but seeing gandhi as father of nation infurates me . Nevertheless all the freedom fighters expect gandhi had a great contribution in our freedom .. so i salute all our heroes

गांधी जी के भारत छोडो आँदोलन से प्रभावित होकर रुपौली थाना ,जिला पूर्णियाँ सभी क्रांतिकारियों ने रुपौली थाना 10 कांस्टेबल और दो अधिकारियों को जिंदा जला दिया। इससे आंदोलन में मेरे दादाजी स्वर्गीय छोटेलाल सिंह ने भी हिस्सा लिया था और बाद में अंग्रेजों के दबाव के कारण वह गांव छोड़कर नेपाल भाग गए और उधर ही उनकी मृत्यु हो गई। इस आंदोलन में कई क्रांतिकारियों ने अपने अपने शौर्य का प्रदर्शन किया ।आज भी वह कुआँ स्थित है जिसमें अंग्रेज अधिकारियों को जलाया गया था। नमन है उन समस्त वीर क्रांतिकारियों को जिन्होंने अंग्रेज दमन के खिलाफ क्रांतिकारी कार्य को अंजाम देते हुए रूपौली थाना के समस्त कर्मियों को जिंदा जला दिया। आज भी वहाँ एक स्तँभ बना हुआ है जिसपर शहीदों का नाम अंकित है।
