We should focus on development of brand of small daily use things like Ball Pen, Pencil or other such small daily use things..like Japan which produces Ball Pens with good quality, this result into creation Brand of Made in Japan as household mantra...After excelling in small things then we step up for high impact products.. Due to The impact of small quality things which are Made in India becomes household name which is useful for acceptance next generation products from India.

After going through discussion paper it is felt that we should formulate Vision and Mission statement for our industrial policy so that we can work with focus. Categorisation of industries will also help us in formulation of policy for that specific category and preparation of docket. Some thoughts are given in attached paper. Since I noticed this discussion point late, probably not done justice to such important topic as I have to put up points hurriedly. May be useful.

The decision to phase out Petrol and diesel cars in the long run is right decision.So India must move towards related manufacturing in three sectors:
1)Put up manufacturing plants for manufacture of Lithium-ion batteries in mass scale close to the four metros
2)All the auto-manufacturers to change over to manufacturing of Electric cars ,Buses and two-wheelers gradually over the next one decade with govt.incentivizing through suitable tax breaks etc.
3)build charging stations parallely.

1 crore jobs can created only through greatness not on averageness. They as employees will feel great while working in those companies than as individuals.
Policy should focus on power of Synergy. We are average as individuals but great as Company.
Thrive for a great rather than an average policy. It will yield great results instead of average results. Which in turn change life of average Indian to a great one.

Which in turn is the current norms where Average is greater than Greatness itself.
We are average product manufacturer with average manpower and average profit selling to average citizens.
This status quo of average is disastrous for any society especially when its population is under 35.
Demographic dividend only pay if we set greatness ahead of average ness..
So we have to build a great policy not average policy which indeed produce a great result not an below average result.

Entrepreneurs will need capital other institutional opportunities like in industrialized nations.
A case to case basis approach won't work.
Every future device be it car or farm or medical equipments all are digital and IoT in it.
So electronics is the field need support for innovation & production.
Failure is the norm for these ventures. So financial back up for them is must.
The traditional do or die appoach won't work. If they die it will encourage only mediocrity and not meritocrity.

Small is big....
German Economic Miracle depends upon not only big corporations but on Mittelstand(MSME)..
So policy for MSME is a must focus than big corporations.
They need finance,manpower,market...policy should address these concerns...
Tech companies like Apple & Microsoft started from micro level. Even China figured out ways to improve Electronics manufacturing. The Industrial Revolution 4.0 would only be a dream if idea is not nurtured through proper policy.

In formulation of new industrial policy is a only policy document which indicate where govt wants to focus but where is the capability to achieve in area of focus.
