The segregation of household waste should be at housewife or maidservant level,for which they should be educated through TV aids or documetaries and mass education.The eatable waste like peels of vegetable or fruits which are biodegradable,should be packed in black bags.The glass waste should be packed in different coloured bags the plastic items should be in blue coloured bags.Potentially health hazardous material like meat ,bones,blood soaked clothes in yellow colored bags.

Swacha Bharath is a great initiative. But the problem is there are no sufficient dustbins present on road in cities like Bangalore. So i would like t ask govt to keep dustbins for every 50 to 100 meters and these must be emptied daily. This will make people to use throw the waste in dustbins instead of on roadside.

There is a need for a visible mechanism for collecting electronic waste, such as discarded mobile phones, used cartridges,computers,other gadgets that are just thrown in the dust bin. Authorities must come out with a local level collection centre that ensures collection &safe disposal of e-waste. A lot of e-waste contains harmful components as lead, mercury, therefore just discarding is not enough, it must be safely disposed, whatever possible shud be recycled for further use as raw materials.
