Greater Mumbai, the city of dreams, is also part of the Smart City Challenge, commissioned by the Ministry of Urban Development. The focus on making any city smart is to provide better services more efficiently to its citizens at their doorstep. With this view, the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai believes that ideas for developing Mumbai into a Smart City should come directly from its citizens. This initiative is part of the comprehensive plan for citizen engagement envisioned by the MCGM. We will also be inviting suggestions via social media, at the level of the wards and on a pan city level.

With a population which is diverse and vibrant in so many ways, the potential to develop the city of Mumbai is limitless. As the pioneer of development and business and a melting pot of cultures, Mumbai is a very good representation of the dynamic culture of India. As a representative, Mumbai has the responsibility of becoming a global example of an efficient and citizen friendly city, through technology and service delivery.

To this purpose, we the MCGM, invite citizen of Mumbai to tell us what they believe should be a part of the Plan to develop Greater Mumbai into a city where every citizen enjoys efficient services and overall quality of life is increased and preserved. We are looking for any ideas, innovations and suggestions that will help us put together a good plan for the smart development of Mumbai.

Shri MODI sir,In Bollywood Actors, Amir Khan did a lot of good for his social responsibility. But we don't know what the Shahrukh khan and salman khan are doing with their of 200 CRORES of Rupees every year. So, I think SHAHRUKH and SALMAN should also give Charity and contribute in developing Mumbai's SUB-URBAN areas and should adopt poor children, and SLUM AREA people should be given financially helped to fulfill their RESPONSIBILITY.This Policy Giving back to the society is MAIN MOTO behind it

- Demolish every structure which doesn't have required clearances / regularize them. Provide them with proper infrastructure. - Place all the records online for everyone to see, which building have or don't have the approvals to safeguard people for purchasing wrong property. - Disallow sale of any property without complete approvals. Must stop sale of under-construction, pre launch etc. Forcing builders to first complete the ongoing projects rather than just keep announcing new ones.

- Must increase public transport facilities in BKC area, given it now the new CBD of Mumbai. More connecting roads are needed to ease traffic jams. - Train/Bus connectivity needs to be increased multi-fold to keep pace with population increases. - Try and create multiple business hubs, rather than concentrating everything in 3 places. - Levy hefty taxes for private cars, especially if a household has multiple cars, increase parking charges by multi-fold for creating incentive for carpooling.
