Recognizing the universal appeal of Yoga, owing to its demonstrated benefits towards immunity building and stress relief, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) proclaimed 21st June as the International Day of Yoga (IDY) on 11th December 2014. Since 2015, this day has been observed all over the world in ever-growing numbers, with the objective of reminding people across the globe about the benefits of Yoga, and to build enduring public interest in Yoga by highlighting its importance and contributions to the public health.

The preparations for the 7th International Day of Yoga (IDY 2021) have already begun and the Ministry of AYUSH (MoA) is looking forward to active participation from the people. The event will be observed in compliance with the COVID-19 guidelines of the government, with a greater focus on digital activities. In these tough times, all are encouraged to “Be with Yoga, Be at Home”

With this backdrop, MoA invites all citizens to share their ideas on how people can plan to observe the 7th IDY at home with their friends and families while mobilizing the wider community to maintain the ethos of Yoga and ensure community wellbeing. These ideas can be further utilized by the Ministry in conduction different programs dedicated to building the enduring public interest in Yoga by highlighting its importance and contributions to public health

The last date for submission of ideas is 30th June 2021.

Sir, international yoga day for this yr has gone. Now it's time to introspect how yoga should be made familar with the children during schooling days so that the benefits of yoga can be harvested in later ages by becoming desease free, and fine& fit citizen. So train yoga teachers service may be employed for further deep rooting yoga practice in our sub conscious mind then only the great gift of Saint Patanjali to humakind to be realised upon. celebration for recognition will be fruitful, praised

"YOGA" ACTUALLY RELATED OUR (HUMANS) HEALTH. BUT, UNFORTUNATELY SOME PEOPLE ARE THINKING THAT, IT IS RELATED TO ONE RELIGION. "YOGA" HELPS NOT ONLY FOR PHYSICAL BODY HEALTH AND ALSO MENTALLY (PEACEFUL) & SPIRITUALLY ALSO. IN "BHARAT" MANY PEOPLE ARE ANTI ABOUT "YOGA", BUT, SO MANY PEOPLE IN OTHER COUNTRIES ARE FOLLOWING THIS. Jai "YOGA"

Do simple Yoga practices everyday to keep yourself fit and fine. One such practice is Surya Namashkar. It is a combination of Asanas. Only by doing Surya Namashkar regularly, one can get benefits of these Asanas. I used to practise 6-12 rounds as attached in video link. Take care of your body, body will take care of you. Treatments are more costly. Keep diseases away, practise yoga as a daily routine.

Post your family yoga pic in your social media, Tag and challenge your five friends to do the same. Whoever take up the challenge write a appriciation note on their social media wall. Which may include appreciating at least five of their individual qualities as a person. Ask them to challenge another 5 friends and repeate the same. This may encouraged more people to actively engage with eachother with the subject of yoga and apriciating eachother presence in thire life
