The District Administration Baghpat invites citizens, youth, innovators and institutions from across India on MyGov to share innovative and practical ideas to transform the Shri Parshurameshwar Pura Mahadev Mahashivratri Mela into a Zero Waste Mahotsav on theme “Bhakti Bhi, Prakriti Bhi”.

Building on the successful implementation of a Zero Waste model during Falguni Mahashivratri 2026 celebrations, this initiative aims to further strengthen sustainable practices and develop Baghpat as a model for green and responsible religious gatherings in India.

Aligned with the vision of Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), Swachh Bharat and sustainable tourism, the initiative promotes environmentally responsible behaviour, reduction of waste, resource efficiency and community participation in large public events.

What kind of ideas are we looking for?
1. Participants are encouraged to submit practical, scalable and innovative ideas in areas such as:
a. Waste management and zero waste systems
b. Plastic-free alternatives for melas and religious events
c. Eco-friendly materials and green infrastructure
d. Awareness campaigns and behavioural change strategies
e. Volunteer and youth engagement models
f. Use of technology (apps, QR-based services, monitoring systems, etc.)
g. Sustainable tourism and visitor management

How to participate?
1. Submit your idea in maximum 200–300 words
2. Focus on solutions that can be practically implemented on ground
3. You may include examples, models or case references

What will happen to your ideas?
Selected ideas will be reviewed by the District Administration and considered for implementation during the Shravani Mahashivratri Mela scheduled in second week of August 2026. Selected contributions may also be recognised as part of a district-led innovation initiative and documented as good practices.

This is an opportunity to contribute to building a national model of sustainable religious events, promote environmental responsibility, and strengthen citizen participation in governance. Your ideas can help demonstrate how tradition, technology and sustainability can work together for a better future.

If we Make a E Commerce Portal for Local Handloom Product with all the Local Product of India which was not Online & does not have the Access to Sell Online to Nation Wide & we can sell it to Nation Wide via E Commerce Platform then we must Encourage the Local Vendors.amd Sell the Product Internationally & Increase their Income. शीर्षक: 'शिव-स्मृति' रिसाइकल्ड मोमेंटो और QR कोड आधारित 'जीरो-वेस्ट' डिजिटल ट्रैकिंग मॉडलश्री परशुरामेश्वर पुरा महादेव मंदिर के महाशिवरात्री मेले को पूरी तरह कचरा-मुक्त (Zero Waste) बनाने के लिए मैं दो ऐसे नए विचार प्रस्तावित करता हूँ जो आमतौर पर कहीं इस्तेमाल नहीं किए जाते:1. 'शिव-स्मृति' नारियल और अपशिष्ट रीसाइक्लिंग (Unique Souvenir):मेले में लाखों नारियल चढ़ाए जाते हैं, जिनके छिलके (Husk) भारी मात्रा में कचरा बनते हैं। इसके समाधान के लिए मंदिर परिसर में एक छोटी सी 'हस्तशिल्प और रीसाइक्लिंग यूनिट' लगाई जाए। नारियल के इन छिलकों को मशीन से प्रोसेस करके छोटे-छोटे पर्यावरण-अनुकूल मोमेंटो (जैसे शिव जी की छोटी मूर्तियां या की-चेन) बनाए जाएं। दर्शन के बाद बाहर निकलते समय श्रद्धालुओं को यह 'शिव-स्मृति' स्मृति चिह्न बहुत कम दाम पर दिए जाएं। इससे कचरा भी खत्म होगा और स्थानीय लोगों को रोजगार मिलेगा।2. Zero Waste Mela Command & Control Center A Zero Waste Mela Command & Control Center should be established to monitor and manage waste in real time during mela A live digital dashboard should display total waste generated, wet, dry and puja waste collected, waste segregated, recycled and composted, along with plastic diverted from landfill. Data can be updated through volunteers using a mobile app or QR-based reporting system and displayed on LED screens for complete transparency. At the end of the mela, performance rankings should be announced for volunteers, sanitation teams, vendors, NGOs and temple zones. Attractive cash prizes, trophies and certificates should be awarded to categories such as Best Green Volunteer, Best Clean Vendor, Best Waste Management Team and Green Temple Zone. Healthy competition with meaningful rewards will encourage maximum public participation, improve waste segregation and recycling.

Firstly conducting the awareness about hazards of plastic,then not allowed the plastic inside the event and encourage cloth bags, eco-friendly materials and maintain environmental safety precautions and arrenge separate ways for physically challenged persons and women& kids so that any unwanted issues not occurred.

श्री परशुरामेश्वर पुरा महादेव महाशिवरात्रि मेले को पूर्णतः शून्य अपशिष्ट (Zero Waste) महोत्सव बनाने के लिए "हर भक्त – हरित भक्त" अभियान शुरू किया जाए। मेले में प्रवेश करने वाले प्रत्येक श्रद्धालु को ग्रीन भक्ति कार्ड (QR कोड या कागजी कार्ड) दिया जाए। इस कार्ड पर पर्यावरण संरक्षण से जुड़े कार्य दर्ज हों, जैसे प्लास्टिक का उपयोग न करना, कचरे को सही डस्टबिन में डालना, रिफिल जल केंद्र का उपयोग करना, पर्यावरण-अनुकूल दोना-पत्तल का प्रयोग करना तथा स्वच्छता सेवा में भाग लेना। प्रत्येक कार्य पूरा होने पर कार्ड का सत्यापन किया जाए। सभी कार्य पूरे करने वाले श्रद्धालुओं को "हरित भक्त सम्मान प्रमाणपत्र", पौधा या पर्यावरण-अनुकूल स्मृति-चिह्न दिया जाए। मंदिर परिसर में पूजा सामग्री पुनर्चक्रण केंद्र बनाया जाए, जहाँ फूलों से धूपबत्ती, जैविक खाद और प्राकृतिक रंग तैयार किए जाएँ। भोजन अवशेषों से कम्पोस्ट बनाई जाए तथा प्लास्टिक और अन्य पुनर्चक्रण योग्य सामग्री को अलग-अलग एकत्र कर पुनर्चक्रण हेतु भेजा जाए। इससे मेला स्वच्छ, हरित और पर्यावरण संरक्षण का राष्ट्रीय उदाहरण बनेगा। मिशन लाइफ और स्वच्छ भारत
