Dear PM, regarding effective and democratic response to the SIR agitation - The EC should immediately do a VISIBLE Rath yatra (like it is done by political parties) in every disrict headquarters where SIR was implemented. 3 days prior to the RATH yatra in distict hq, a loudspeaker announcing van should be circulated in all the wards ANNOUNCING the delated names in that ward, to come / appear before the EC members on the date of the RATH yatra near the Collector office, where the filing of forms 6 or 8 would be facilitated after verifying the relevant documents. If the deleted Voter does not turn up, atleast a sincere effort was made to TRACE them. This mechanism will address to the purported grievance of the political parties and at the same time give a proper chance to the deleted voter to restore his/ her name in the list. Since the district HQ would be in large number, the EC may appoint a suitable number of their employees to represent the CEC on the RATH yatra. Hope this helps
