I suggest creating an official town-level WhatsApp group including municipal representatives, senior municipal officers, and the District Collector or their authorised representatives. Respected PM Ji, whenever I hear debates around SIR, duplicate voter entries, and questions being raised about the Election Commission, I feel there is a simple long-term solution. Biometric verification could be used only once during voter registration and secure encrypted Voter smart ID card creation to ensure that every citizen has only one voter record and to prevent duplicate entries. To protect privacy, the Election Commission can maintain a separate biometric database exclusively for voter registration instead of linking it with Aadhaar. Voting itself should remain simple or with multiple authentication option like digital authentication of voter ID card to check use of obsolete ID card or biometric authentication. This can improve the accuracy of electoral rolls, reduce disputes, increase transparency, and strengthen public trust in elections and democratic institutions. I believe such a reform can make our electoral system stronger and more credible for the future.
