MASCOT NAME: DHARA*
*Daughter of Highways and Roads for Aatmanirbhar Bharat.* Dhara means Earth — the one that connects, nurtures and sustains, just like NHAI's highways.
*1. THE CORE CONCEPT - Braid Becomes Highway*
This is the most unique idea of your design. Your long white braid transforms into a National Highway with white lane markings.
*Meaning:* Just like three strands of hair weave together to make a strong braid, NHAI weaves different highways together to form one united *BharatMala*. It symbolizes *Tradition to Progress, Connectivity that binds India.*
*2. ATTIRE & CULTURAL IDENTITY*
- *Green Saree with Leaf Pattern:* Represents NHAI's flagship initiative *Harit Path - Green Highways*. The leaf motifs show afforestation and green corridors along highways.
- *Orange Blouse & Border:* Symbolizes energy, enthusiasm and auspiciousness.
- *Jhumka, Bindi, Chappal:* Makes her relatable — a common Indian daughter, not a corporate cartoon. Every village and city can connect with her.
*3. SAFETY FIRST*
- *Yellow Safety Helmet with "Bharatmala NHAI" Logo:* This is the real uniform of every NHAI engineer and worker. Yellow is the universal color of safety, trust and caution.
- *Message:* NHAI's first commitment is safe roads for everyone.
*4. WHAT SHE HOLDS - TWO PROMISES*
- *Tricolor Flag in Right Hand:* National pride. National Highways are the pride of the nation, carrying the Tiranga across India.
- *Potted Sapling in Left Hand:* Promise of a sustainable future. NHAI not only builds roads but also builds oxygen, planting millions of trees along highways.
*5. FINAL PITCH
> My mascot, DHARA, embodies NHAI's vision of building sustainable, safe and smart highways. Her green saree with leaf prints and the sapling she holds represent NHAI's Harit Path initiative for eco-friendly green corridors. Her yellow safety helmet with the NHAI logo signifies safety and trust. Her unique feature is her long braid that seamlessly transforms into a highway with lane markings, symbolizing how NHAI connects the diverse strands of India into one strong BharatMala. Holding the Tiranga, she represents a Strong Nation built on Green Highways and Smart Journeys.

YAATRI
Yaatri, which means traveller, is a friendly modern robot mascot created to represent the people who use India’s highways every day. It represents the idea of making every journey safe, smooth, smart, and comfortable.
Yaatri’s robotic design reflects India’s growing use of technology and innovation in improving our roads and highways. His cheerful face and bright blue eyes gives him a friendly personality and makes him easy to connect with.
The orange safety helmet represents road construction, safety, and the people who work to build and maintain our highways. His blue reflective vest highlights the importance of visibility and safety on the road. The Indian flag on his vest adds a sense of national pride.
Rather than being just a mascot, Yaatri is imagined as a friendly companion to every traveller, encouraging everyone to follow road-safety practices.
Thus Yaatri tries to convey the following message: “Every journey matters, with the roads being safe and innovative.”

Meet RAJABHATA,
A soldier/warrior mascot representing NHAI
The name RAJABHATA means a royal soldier in Sanskrit.
He is wearing an armour representing strength and safety.
His white helmet's shape resembles helmet worn by NHAI engineers. It represents innovation, road safety and nation building.
His green dhoti represents sustainability.
His armour is adorned with road like elements on his torso representing connectivity. It also reminds of NHAI logo.
His wide eyes and friendly smile evokes trust. He is also a guardian.
And moreover who else can represent Rajamarg(national highways) better than a Rajabhata(royal soldier).
One more thing,
If you feel difficult to adapt his sleeves design into 3D, you can make those sleeves completely blue.

ANANT has been created by keeping in mind the six key visions of Indian highways—sustainable infrastructure, road safety, seamless connectivity, innovation, trust, and nation-building. The mascot is designed as a friendly character, with its body formed in a continuous loop shape to represent endless connection and the continuous bond between highways and people. The name “ANANT,” meaning infinite or endless, reflects the idea of continuous progress and connectivity. Through its simple and friendly appearance, ANANT represents a journey that keeps moving forward and connecting people.
