The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens across India to share their constructive suggestions and innovative ideas through the initiative "Have an Idea? Share it with ICAI".
This initiative provides a platform for citizens, professionals, students, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to contribute their valuable ideas for strengthening the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the Chartered Accountancy profession, and India's financial and economic ecosystem.
Participants are encouraged to submit their suggestions on areas such as strengthening the Chartered Accountancy profession, promoting economic development, enhancing transparency and good governance, leveraging technology and innovation, improving financial literacy, supporting entrepreneurship, and contributing towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The objective of this initiative is to encourage meaningful public participation and harness diverse perspectives to help build a stronger, more transparent, innovative, and future-ready Chartered Accountancy profession while contributing to an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable financial ecosystem for the nation.

Dear ICAI, My idea is to create a simple platform for CA students where they can find articleship opportunities, skill-based courses, study resources and career guidance at one place. Students can also find CA firms according to their location and area of interest, such as Audit, Taxation and Accounting. Along with this, ICAI can organise a “Practical Learning Week” every month, where students get small real-life tasks related to Accounting, Tax, Audit and Excel. This will help students gain practical knowledge and feel more confident before starting their articleship.

I have idea about AI in CA course and Jobs in foreign country like The Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) have agreed to strengthen collaboration on initiatives covering AI training and professional qualification recognition.Under the expanded collaboration, the two accountancy bodies will provide practical and responsible AI learning to ICAI members and students.

I have idea about AI, The Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) have agreed to strengthen collaboration on initiatives covering AI training and professional qualification recognition.Under the expanded collaboration, the ISCA signed a letter of cooperation for a proposed Global AI Fluency Initiative based on its AI Fluency Programme. Subject to approvals and agreed implementation terms, the two accountancy bodies will provide practical and responsible AI learning to ICAI members and students.The programme is expected to benefit the ICAI’s more than 1.5 million members and students.The approximately 30-hour programme includes 180 workplace-based cases covering AI foundations, accounting specialisations, and AI leadership and governance.The approach will help professionals identify exactly where AI adds value while ensuring they maintain strict professional judgement, oversight and responsibility for their work

As a CA Foundation student who has already appeared for the exam once, I would like to suggest that ICAI provide more practical guidance on how to attempt the paper. Students often get confused about the order of questions, whether to attempt section-wise or question-wise, time management, answer length, and presentation. Providing sample attempted answer sheets or a short guide on paper-attempting strategy would be very helpful.
I would also suggest reconsidering the timing of Articleship. If possible, keeping Articleship after the CA Final examination could give students more uninterrupted time for Final preparation. The CA syllabus is vast, and managing Articleship with studies may affect revision and continuity, making it difficult to retain everything studied over the years.
These suggestions are from a student’s perspective and could make the CA journey more manageable and student-friendly.

My Idea Title: A Simple AI Tool for Small CA Firms*
Respected Sir/Madam,
I am a CA Final student. During my articleship in a small firm in Uttar Pradesh, I noticed a big problem.
Big 4 firms have advanced software and AI tools for audit. But small and medium firms like ours still do everything manually in Excel. Checking bank statements, finding mismatch in GST, making audit checklist - it takes a lot of time and sometimes mistakes also happen.
So my idea is that ICAI should make one simple and free tool for all CA members and students.
Name can be "ICAI Saathi".
What this tool will do:
1. It can upload bank statement and automatically highlight risky or unusual entries.
2. It can compare GSTR-2B with books , show difference.
3. It can make a simple audit checklist based on company's turnover.
Every CA should be a different identity from other professions (taxation lawyers) in doing tax compliance, because in small town, businessman gaves approach to advocate

My suugestion is
for New Development Areais to introduce a short certificate course on sustainability and BRSR-type reporting, as companies increasingly need CAs in this area.,
For article ship
1. to provide a list of 10–12 hands-on tasks (for example filing a GSTR-3B, preparing a tax audit report working, a bank reconciliation, a stock-audit working paper) that the principal signs off digitally. It shows what the student can actually do at the end of training.
2. to During peak periods such as tax audit and return due dates, issue a suggested weekly-hours guideline and a confidential helpline for articled assistants, to reduce burnout without hurting client deadlines

My name is Aashima Rana, a CA Intermediate student.
My suggestion for the CA Course structure:
I suggest keeping pre-CA articleship at 2 years so students can focus on Final exams without excessive stress. After passing Final exams, a mandatory 1-year post-CA training should be added for AI, Data Analytics, and advanced tech tools.
Pre-CA and post-CA students should be kept in separate batches since exam-goers and qualified professionals have different needs.
Key Benefits:
• Less Exam Stress: Students clear Finals faster with full study focus.
• Better Tech Skills: Learning AI and analytics post-exams without study pressure ensures deeper practical knowledge.
• More Value: Firms get qualified experts ready for high-level tasks, making CAs future-ready.
