The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens across India to share their constructive suggestions and innovative ideas through the initiative "Have an Idea? Share it with ICAI".
This initiative provides a platform for citizens, professionals, students, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to contribute their valuable ideas for strengthening the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the Chartered Accountancy profession, and India's financial and economic ecosystem.
Participants are encouraged to submit their suggestions on areas such as strengthening the Chartered Accountancy profession, promoting economic development, enhancing transparency and good governance, leveraging technology and innovation, improving financial literacy, supporting entrepreneurship, and contributing towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The objective of this initiative is to encourage meaningful public participation and harness diverse perspectives to help build a stronger, more transparent, innovative, and future-ready Chartered Accountancy profession while contributing to an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable financial ecosystem for the nation.

Two suggestions : Though not directly linked to ICAI, this is where I could enter : IDEA1 To have a system of DEDICATED MOBILE for net banking operation to be designed appropriately which will ensure security of the device as need not be carried like the common use mobile now and will also help in handling of Bank Accounts online by desired person of the account holder which will be private to him/her It will also ease the manual/legal efforts required for account deposit claims by nominees etc.
IDEA2: To design and develope a DEDICATED SCHOOL MOBILE with all security featured which can be issue to school kiids after certain age to aid in educational requirements and keep them safe from unwanted sites etc.

There is an issue of transfer and leave. we are treated like bonded labour for transfer we need principal's permission which is almost never given even if we are not learning anything we didnt have any option to leave and we are forced to continue there. and for exams we only get 3-4 months leave after 2 years of torture and recently Icai has confirmed changes for changing the tenure of 2 year to 3 years which is very inconvienient and time taking. as a ca aspirant its very hard to think of involving in 3years of articleship. i request authorities to not to change this tenure to 3 years. let this only to 2 years

I am writing this to share my honest experience and suggestions regarding the articleship system. articleship is supposed to be the backbone of the ca course, where we learn practical work.But in reality for many students it has become a period of exploitation and very limited learning . first and the one of major issue is stipend as ICAI has fixed min. stipend to be rs 2000,2500 and 3000 for the first , second and third year but in today's time this amount is almost equal to nothing. A student living in city like delhi , mumbai or bangalore spends at least rs 10000-15000 just on Pgs and food for daily living. because of this many students are forced to part time jobs which effect their studies and their health too. not just studies and health even their personal life too get so much affected and worst part many firms even dont pay the min stipends they forcefully uses them for their work and exploit them. Students who are intrested in stock audits are stuck in internal audits only.

ICAI could develop a research and innovation framework for AI-assisted continuous auditing and fraud-risk detection. With appropriate safeguards, AI tools could analyze large volumes of financial transactions, identify unusual patterns, detect potential control weaknesses and prioritize areas requiring professional examination. ICAI could establish ethical and technical standards covering explainability, data security, human oversight, algorithmic bias and professional accountability. Pilot projects could be conducted with MSMEs, cooperative institutions and larger organizations to evaluate effectiveness. The objective should not be to replace Chartered Accountants but to enhance their analytical capabilities, allowing professionals to focus more time on judgment, risk assessment, governance and strategic financial advisory.

ICAI could introduce a One CA–One MSME Mentor programme through which practicing and retired Chartered Accountants voluntarily mentor micro and small enterprises for a defined period. Many small businesses struggle with bookkeeping, GST compliance, cash-flow management, internal controls, digital accounting and access to formal finance. A structured mentorship platform could connect entrepreneurs with CAs based on industry, location and business requirements. Standardized toolkits could help mentors identify financial weaknesses and develop simple improvement plans. Special attention could be given to women-led enterprises, rural entrepreneurs, startups and first-generation businesses. Strengthening financial management at the grassroots level could improve enterprise sustainability and support employment generation.

"CA for every young entrepreneur"
India has millions of young people with business ideas but many do not understand gst taxation accounting compliance financial planning.A small mistake in these area can become a major problem. Icai could launch CA FOR EVERY YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR initiative. The idea would create a digital platform where young entrepreneurs can,learn basics accounting gst.use ai to understand financial concepts . understand the difference between a good business opportunity and a risky financial decision.connect ca students and young entrepreneurs through workshops mentorship and pratical financial learning sessions. Because financial literacy should not begin,when a person earns their first salary,it should begin when they learn the value of money.
If india wants to create a generation of successful entrepreneurs it must also create a generation that understands finance. ICAI to take financial knowledge from the boardroom to every entrepreneur s doorstep. vandebharat

I would like to submit my idea, “KISAAN KHAATA”, a village-level financial assistance network designed to bring basic accounting, GST, tax and financial services closer to small businesses, shopkeepers and farmers in rural India. The model combines trained local accounting professionals, technology and supervision by practicing Chartered Accountants, creating wider financial access while also opening new opportunities within the CA profession.
The idea aims to contribute towards greater financial formalisation and the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
