The Income Tax Department, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, in collaboration with MyGov, invites innovative ideas and constructive suggestions from citizens, taxpayers, professionals, businesses, students, and other stakeholders to strengthen taxpayer services and contribute towards building a more transparent, efficient, and taxpayer-friendly tax administration. This participatory initiative provides a platform to share practical ideas for enhancing taxpayer awareness, simplifying compliance processes, improving digital taxpayer services, and promoting ease of compliance.

Suggestions may also focus on strengthening service delivery, leveraging emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), improving grievance redressal mechanisms, enhancing taxpayer education and outreach, and introducing innovative solutions to improve the overall taxpayer experience. Your valuable ideas will contribute towards making tax administration more accessible, technology-driven, citizen-centric, and responsive, while supporting the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 through better public service delivery, participatory governance, and greater taxpayer trust.

To build trust and encourage voluntary compliance, the Income Tax Department should send an annual 'Taxpayer Impact Statement.' When a return is processed, the taxpayer should receive a simple digital infographic showing how their specific tax contribution helped build Viksit Bharat 2047 (e.g., 'Your ₹50,000 tax helped fund X km of highways, Y rural healthcare setups, or Z student scholarships'). Showing citizens the direct impact of their hard-earned money will transform paying taxes from a burden into a proud civic duty.

That the Government constitute abolition of income tax on individual, excluding to HUFs, firms, AoPs, BoIs and trusts etc A larger domestic savings base is a strategic asset. The economic case rests on a straightforward proposition: income returned to a household does not leave the economy. It is either consumed it is saved and invested Administrative simplification Currency management Cover revenue: an honest accounting By increasing the tax revenue from other sources What I am asking for. I am asking that it test the hypothesis. I am not asking the Government to accept these figures and outcomes. India will become an $8-9 Tn economy in just 24 months of implementation. Every Indian contributes towards the mission of building a nation via contributing indirectly which currently skews around ~7% of the population paying income tax. This will curb corruption, terrorism, anti- social activities and criminal activities.

Consider reviewing the tax treatment of agricultural income. One proposal could be: • Continue exempting genuine farmers with agricultural income up to ₹50 lakh per annum. • Consider bringing agricultural income above ₹50 lakh per annum within the tax framework, with appropriate safeguards, so that high-income earners are treated consistently while protecting ordinary farmers, who are the backbone of the nation.

Project DARPAN: To build 'Viksit Bharat', taxation must shift from 'forced compliance' to 'civic pride'. I propose a 3-pillar tech reform: Hyper-Local Transparency Dashboard: Taxpayers don't see where their money goes. E-filing portals should use backend APIs to show a geo-tagged impact graph. Ex: "₹2,000 of your tax funded your district's new hospital." Seeing local development builds trust and reduces evasion. AI 'Tax-Mitra': Current portals are complex for rural vendors, causing high CA fees. Deploy a Voice-AI assistant (via WhatsApp/CSC). A user can speak in Hindi/Bhojpuri: "Aaj 5000 ka profit hua." The AI auto-categorizes this into a secure DB and pre-fills a single-click ITR, democratizing access. Viksit Bharat Badges: Link ITR with DigiLocker to issue verifiable 'Honest Taxpayer Badges'. Offer real utility: fast-track RTO queues, priority MSME loans, or toll VIP lanes. Let's gamify compliance and make paying tax Know More See The Pdf

✨ Here is the short review for the "Taxpayer First: Ideas for the Future" campaign with emojis added (around 50-60 words): 📄 Open the PDF and read the details. 🚀 This initiative by the Income Tax Department is a fantastic step toward building a transparent, taxpayer-friendly future. 💻 Simplifying tax compliance, enhancing digital services, and rewarding honest taxpayers will boost the nation's economic growth. 🇮🇳 Let us focus on easing procedures, strengthening trust, and supporting citizen-centric tax reforms for a developed India. 💪

Just tax tax tax. Why are they so insistent about this? Why doesn't anyone see the problems of taxpayers? Corruption is everywhere. First, form a team to monitor whether the work is being done properly. Whoever is given a contract,Publish his details along with the work and do not approve his payments without local inspection and clearance. After that, a system should be created which connects everyone to UPI's online tax which is so simple that everyone can understand it and even a common person should be able to understand it in every language through the app. When you show how you're using taxpayer money for local streets and their communities, everyone will cooperate with you. Today the condition of the country is such that people take shelter of the law to save taxes because they know that this money will go to some contractor or some leader or some officer, there is nothing better in their life than this. You should understand and see what is lacking. Along with taxes, take respo

I would like to suggest the following reforms to make the income tax system fairer and encourage savings among citizens: Provide higher exemption for interest income from savings and fixed deposits. Interest earned from bank savings accounts and fixed deposits often represents income from already-taxed savings. The government may consider exempting such interest income up to a reasonable limit or increasing the existing exemption significantly, especially for middle-class taxpayers, senior citizens, and retirees who rely on interest income. Apply income tax only on income exceeding the exemption threshold. If the tax-free income limit is ₹12.75 lakh under the applicable tax regime, taxpayers should pay tax only on the portion of income above ₹12.75 lakh, rather than losing the benefit of the exemption once the threshold is crossed. This would make the tax system more equitable and avoid a sudden increase in tax liability for those earning slightly above the exemption limit.

Everyone will want to pay taxes if you provide them with facilities. Without facilities, who will pay taxes on everything? There is no proper drainage system; all the drains are clogged; the roads have been flooded for four years.

To make the tax system more equitable, encouraging, and taxpayer-friendly, I respectfully submit the following proposals for your kind consideration: 1. Smooth Tapering of Section 87A Rebate: Reconfigure the tax slabs so that for incomes exceeding ₹12.75 Lakh, tax is applied only on the incremental amount above ₹12.75 Lakh. Alternatively, extend a tapered rebate u/s 87A up to ₹20–25 Lakh so that a salary increment never leads to a tax burden greater than the raise itself. 2. Option for Part-Payment in Interest-Free Installments: Introduce a provision allowing salaried individual taxpayers to pay self-assessment tax dues in 3 to 6 monthly equal installments without levying penal interest (under Sections 234A/B/C). A structured, interest-free payment plan would give honest taxpayers much-needed liquidity relief while ensuring steady revenue collection for the Government.
