The Income Tax Department, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, in collaboration with MyGov, invites innovative ideas and constructive suggestions from citizens, taxpayers, professionals, businesses, students, and other stakeholders to strengthen taxpayer services and contribute towards building a more transparent, efficient, and taxpayer-friendly tax administration. This participatory initiative provides a platform to share practical ideas for enhancing taxpayer awareness, simplifying compliance processes, improving digital taxpayer services, and promoting ease of compliance.

Suggestions may also focus on strengthening service delivery, leveraging emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), improving grievance redressal mechanisms, enhancing taxpayer education and outreach, and introducing innovative solutions to improve the overall taxpayer experience. Your valuable ideas will contribute towards making tax administration more accessible, technology-driven, citizen-centric, and responsive, while supporting the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 through better public service delivery, participatory governance, and greater taxpayer trust.

My views is that, People are filling taxes from their income in just hope of that they would get good infrastructure and a good lifestyle, so if tax will reduced then people will spend more on their lifestyle and on many things by which there would be a little impact on collection of tax and we would provide them good facilities. In todays time everyone is using phone so we can launch a portal or app with basic ui/ux by which people can aware about the income taxes and i would like to add. There should be a dashboard of particular district or village where people of that particular area can login and they can check that how much money is govt spending on their distt or village and that much amount of work done has been done or you all will say about the RTI but people are so innocent that they are not aware about that. And using application is much easier and in portal complete details of the working member that in village who is sarpanch and how much money alloted to them for develop.

"The tax system should be simple and transparent. Honest taxpayers should receive faster services, fewer unnecessary procedures, and rewards for timely tax compliance. Government spending should be clearly visible to the public through easy-to-understand reports so that every citizen knows how tax money is improving roads, schools, hospitals, and other public services. This will increase trust and encourage more people to pay taxes honestly."

Thought on the Ministry of Finance The Ministry of Finance is one of the most important ministries of the Government. It is responsible for managing the country's finances and ensuring economic stability and growth. The ministry prepares the Union Budget, collects taxes, manages government expenditure, formulates financial policies, and supervises the banking and financial sectors. It also works to control inflation, encourage investment, generate employment, and promote sustainable economic development. A strong Ministry of Finance helps maintain fiscal discipline and ensures that public money is used efficiently for the welfare of citizens. It allocates funds for essential sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, defence, infrastructure, and social welfare. Through effective financial planning and transparent governance, it supports balanced national development and improves the quality of life of the people. In today's global economy,

Hello Team, I wanted to share a thought that may differ from others. Every year, I pay a significant amount in income tax as a corporate employee, yet when I visit my hometown in Jharkhand, I see little improvement in basic infrastructure or public services. It makes me wonder how effectively our tax money is being utilized. What if taxpayers could allocate a portion of their income tax to approved local development projects? A transparent committee could oversee initiatives like building roads, cleaning rivers and public spaces, improving sanitation, and other essential infrastructure. The allocated amount could be adjusted against the income tax we already pay. This could increase transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in local development. If you think this is a worthwhile idea, I'd love to hear your thoughts. If you agree, please give it a like!

India can learn from the books of countries like Estonia and Singapore where tax systems are simple, digital and citizen-friendly. Pre-filled tax returns for salary earners can save time and reduce errors. Taxpayers should also get a clear annual report on how their tax dollars are being spent on roads, health care, education and public services. This will build trust and transparency. Besides, fast government services or small recognition benefits to the honest taxpayers also serve to encourage voluntary tax compliance. Taxpayers should be focused on a taxpayer-first approach that is simple, transparent and respects every citizen.

Instead of mentioning multiple sections while filing the Income Tax Return (ITR), it would be more helpful to briefly explain what each section means and why it is required. This will make the filing process easier to understand, especially for users who are not familiar with tax terminology, and reduce confusion while completing the return.

Are you really reading comments & willing to implement it for real or just to keep your jobs doing this pointless PR & do waste exercise & time to make anyone participate an idiot. You people still have too many sections in the so called new income tax act 2025 & the income tax portal is still not up to the mark.with so many sections mentioned which looks same from outside but no explanation in many cases. I can put a better income tax act & portal for real but you won’t listen nor give a chance nor will guide me if am missing anything .confirm me I will put you one detailed comment . Like this comment that will go to dustbin & no one from top will read it or implement it. You don’t have a system in banks to effectively find which digital transactions are genuine or mule. Individual tax payers face issue because of this they have to take physical cash & move it rather than doing digitally.you make honest tax payers lives difficult for being honest and punish them in some cases.
