The Income Tax Department, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, in collaboration with MyGov, invites innovative ideas and constructive suggestions from citizens, taxpayers, professionals, businesses, students, and other stakeholders to strengthen taxpayer services and contribute towards building a more transparent, efficient, and taxpayer-friendly tax administration. This participatory initiative provides a platform to share practical ideas for enhancing taxpayer awareness, simplifying compliance processes, improving digital taxpayer services, and promoting ease of compliance.

Suggestions may also focus on strengthening service delivery, leveraging emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), improving grievance redressal mechanisms, enhancing taxpayer education and outreach, and introducing innovative solutions to improve the overall taxpayer experience. Your valuable ideas will contribute towards making tax administration more accessible, technology-driven, citizen-centric, and responsive, while supporting the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 through better public service delivery, participatory governance, and greater taxpayer trust.

Taxpayer First: Ideas for the Future I believe the future of taxation should be simple, transparent, and citizen-friendly. My suggestions are: - Introduce an AI-powered Tax Assistant available 24×7 in multiple Indian languages to guide taxpayers and answer queries instantly. - Make the income tax filing process even simpler, especially for first-time taxpayers, with pre-filled forms and step-by-step guidance. - Create a single dashboard where taxpayers can easily track refunds, notices, grievances, and filing status in one place. - Strengthen the grievance redressal system with faster resolution timelines and real-time status updates. - Conduct regular tax awareness campaigns in schools, colleges, and rural areas to improve financial literacy and voluntary compliance. - Enhance cybersecurity measures to ensure taxpayer data remains completely secure and protected. These initiatives can improve trust, reduce compliance burden, and help build a truly digital, transparent, and

To improve taxpayer trust and transparency, I suggest: Introduce a single AI-powered portal where taxpayers can get instant guidance in simple language on tax filing, notices, and refunds. Reduce unnecessary notices by using better data verification before issuing them. Ensure faster grievance resolution with fixed timelines and automatic escalation if cases are delayed. Provide pre-filled tax returns with maximum accuracy to reduce compliance burden. Increase accountability of tax officials by tracking service quality and taking action in cases of repeated delays or misconduct. Conduct regular taxpayer awareness programs in regional languages to improve financial literacy and voluntary compliance. Publish anonymized performance reports on refunds, grievance resolution, and processing timelines to enhance public confidence.

My suggestion is to create a unified, multilingual “Taxpayer Help and Guidance” platform powered by AI, with simple explanations of tax rules, personalised reminders, and step-by-step assistance for filing returns. The platform should be available through a website, mobile app, chatbot, and voice support in major Indian languages. It should clearly explain notices, help taxpayers identify mistakes before submission, and provide real-time tracking of refunds and grievances. AI should assist taxpayers but important decisions should remain subject to human review, with strong data privacy and security safeguards. This initiative can reduce confusion, improve voluntary compliance, strengthen taxpayer trust, and make tax services more transparent, accessible, and citizen-centric.

      I suggest making tax services simpler and faster for everyone. The website should be easy to use, support all regional languages, provide AI-based assistance, and resolve complaints quickly. This will improve transparency, save time, and increase trust among taxpayers.

India's tax administration can become more citizen-centric by introducing an AI-powered Tax Assistant that provides personalised compliance reminders, explains notices in regional languages, and suggests eligible deductions based on taxpayer profiles. A pre-filing Compliance Health Check could identify missing information before return submission, reducing errors and disputes. A unified grievance dashboard with real-time tracking, estimated resolution timelines, and feedback-based service ratings would improve transparency and accountability. Interactive micro-learning modules, short videos, and gamified tax awareness campaigns can educate first-time taxpayers, students, and small businesses. Predictive analytics can identify common filing mistakes and improve forms, FAQs, and digital services, reducing the compliance burden. Publishing anonymised service performance metrics and acting on citizen feedback through regular innovation challenges will strengthen taxpayer.

Title: My Income Tax – My Pride: Every Taxpayer Counts This artwork highlights how every taxpayer contributes to India's growth and development. Taxes help build schools, hospitals, roads, railways, digital services, and social welfare programmes that improve the lives of citizens. The message, "Your Tax Builds the Nation," represents the important role of honest taxpayers in creating a stronger and self-reliant India. The poster also reflects the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, showing that every tax contribution, no matter how small, supports national progress. Through this artwork, I encourage everyone to pay taxes responsibly and take pride in helping build a prosperous and developed nation.

The Income Tax Department should continue making tax services simple, transparent, and fully digital. AI-based assistance, faster refund processing, multilingual support, and a stronger grievance redressal system will make compliance easier for every taxpayer. Regular awareness campaigns and user-friendly online services will encourage more people to file taxes correctly and on time. A technology-driven and citizen-centric tax system will strengthen trust and support the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

I suggest making the Income Tax system more simple, transparent, and citizen-friendly. AI-powered virtual assistants should be available 24×7 to guide taxpayers in filing returns, understanding notices, and resolving common queries in multiple Indian languages. A single user-friendly mobile app should provide tax filing, refund tracking, grievance redressal, and important reminders. Awareness campaigns should be conducted in schools, colleges, and rural areas to improve tax literacy. The grievance redressal process should have faster response times with real-time status tracking. The department should continue strengthening cybersecurity and data privacy while using technology to detect fraud and simplify compliance. These measures will improve taxpayer trust, reduce errors, and support the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 through efficient and transparent public services.
